� Moved: on the brig "Active", 12 Apr 1817, Bay of Islands, New Zealand.

William married Mary Ann Gordon. (Mary Ann Gordon was born before 1798 in <England> and died on 14 Feb 1813 in <New South Wales>.)

William next married Elizabeth Blackman, daughter of James Blackman and Elizabeth Harley, on 7 Jan 1816 in Richmond, Cumberland County, New South Wales.1 The marriage ended in separation in 1824. (Elizabeth Blackman was born about 1798 in Woolwich, Kent, England, United Kingdom, died on 13 Mar 1849 in Wilberforce, Cook County, New South Wales and was buried in Richmond, Cumberland County, New South Wales 5.)

This whole section is full of inconsistencies.

There are birth registrations that match James and John in NSW. I have other info that also states that William only went to NZ after he married his second wife. The deaths for James and John only match parents of James and Elizabeth and Elizabeth. If you know more about this please let me know. I will eventually get around to investigating further.
