General Notes: Euphemia was from Scotland and was sentenced to 5 years transportation in Aberdeen Circuit Court 20 Apr 1804, as was her sister Ann. They arrived in Sydney on the"William Pitt' 11 April 1806. The ship left England Sep 1 1805 as part of a convoy to take troops to The Cape.and took 222 days to arrive It called at Madeira and San Salvador before disembarking troops at The Cape of Good Hope. Smallpox was on board but only 1 convict died. Noted events in her life were: � She was baptised on 3 Jul 1822 in Parramatta, Cumberland County, New South Wales. � She worked as a Washer woman. Euphemia married Patrick Hanrahan, son of Hanrahan and UNKNOWN, on 15 Apr 1816 in Castlereagh Church. (Patrick Hanrahan was born about 1784 in Ireland, died on 30 Nov 1858 in Mount Pleasant, Swashfield and was buried on 3 Dec 1839 in Black Springs, Bathurst, New South Wales.) Marriage Notes: Banns |
