The family included his wife, Mary J. Yelton, age 29, his daughters, Cora L. Yelton, age 10 and Elva A. Yelton, age 8.⁹ In 1880 Oliver Perry Yelton was a farmer.⁹ He was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1900 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky. Other family members included his wife, Mary J. Yelton, age 50, his daughters, Cora L. Yelton, age 30 and Hattie Yelton, age 16. Mary has borne 3 children, all of whom are living.³ Oliver P. Yelton, age 76 was listed as the father-in-law of David H. Campbell, age 45 in the 1920 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.¹⁰ Oliver Perry Yelton died on 12 August 1920 Kentucky at age 78. He was survived by his wife, Mary Jane (Kirby) Yelton.² Oliver Perry Yelton was buried in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery, Pendleton County, Kentucky, on 14 August 1920.²

Campbell, age 45 in the 1920 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.⁹ Mary survived the death of her husband, Oliver Perry Yelton, on 12 August 1920.¹⁰ Mary Jane Kirby died on 3 April 1925 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. H. Campbell, Pendleton County, Kentucky.^3,4 She was buried at Flour Creek Cemetery, Butler, Pendleton County, Kentucky, on 5 April 1925.³

Yelton, age 33, in the 1870 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.⁷ Carrie Yelton, age 20, was listed as a daughter of Charles Yelton, age 44, in the 1880 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.⁸ Carrie J. Yelton, age 40 was listed as the sister of Alex L Yelton, age 27 in the 1900 Census of Pendleton County, Kentucky.⁶ Carrie Yelton never married.^4,3 She died on 12 April 1939 at her brother Louis' home, Butler, Pendleton County, Kentucky.^3,4 She was buried in the family lot at Butler Cemetery, Pendleton County, Kentucky, on 17 April 1939.⁴

Holmes, age 49 in the 1910 Census of Arkansas City, Cowley County, Kansas.⁸ In 1920 Susan (Yelton) Holmes was she owned and operated a grocery store, assisted by her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Holmes.⁹ Susie M. Holmes, age 54 was listed as the wife of John C. Holmes, age 62 in the 1920 Census of Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kentucky.⁹ Susan survived the death of her husband, Rev. John C. Holmes, in December 1924.¹⁰

Susie L. Holmes, age 66 was listed as the head of a household in the 1930 Census of Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. The household also included her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Holmes, age 75.¹¹ She died in March 1938 in Wichita, Kansas.¹²

Yelton, age 57, in the 1880 Census of Marcy, Oneida County, New York.⁴ Harriette Yelton, age 52 was listed as the wife of Agustin E. Yelton, age 78 in the 1900 Census of Essex County, New Jersey.² Harriett C. Yelton, age 63 was listed as the mother of John J. Yelton, age 43 in the 1910 Census of Oneida County, New York.⁵

Yelton, age 78 in the 1900 Census of Essex County, New Jersey.³ In 1900 John Yelton was a machinist.³ In 1910 John Yelton was a farmer.⁶ He was listed as the head of a household in the 1910 Census of Oneida County, New York. The household also included his wife, Grace Yelton, age 36, his daughters, Cornelia Yelton, age 6, Florence A. Yelton, age 3 and Marie(?) E. Yelton, age 1 year and 3 months, his mother, Harriett C. Yelton, age 63. Grace has borne 5 children, 3 of whom are living. Harriet has borne 7 children, 4(?) of whom are living.⁶ John Yelton died between 1917 and 1920.⁷

     Walter Yelton was born in October 1868 in Kentucky.^2,3 He witnessed the New Tag of Aug. E. Yelton, age 48 on 8 July 1870 Pendleton County, Kentucky.² Walter C. Yelton, age 11, was listed as the son of Augustine E. Yelton, age 57, in the 1880 Census of Marcy, Oneida County, New York.⁴ Walter Yelton lived with Augustine Yelton at 7 Brooks, Oneida, New York, circa 1890.⁵

Walter Yelton married Mary McAlister circa 1898.³ Walter Yelton, age 31 was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1900 Census of Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. Other family members included his wife, Minnie Yelton, age 31, his daughter, Genaveve Yelton, age 10 months. Minnie has borne one child, who is living.³ In 1900 Walter Yelton was a draftsman.³ In 1910 Walter Yelton was a draftsman in the automobile industry.⁶ He was listed as the head of a household in the 1910 Census of Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. The household also included his wife, Minnie Yelton, age 45, his daughters, Genevieve Yelton, age 10, Mabel Yelton, age 8 and Edith Yelton, age 6. Minnie has borne 3 children, all of whom are living. Also living in the household is Agnes McAlister, Walter's unmarried sister-in-law.⁶ In 1920 Walter Yelton was an automobile designer.⁷ He was listed as the head of a household in the 1920 Census of Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. The family included his wife, Mary F. Yelton, age 49, his daughters, Genevieve Yelton, age 20, Mabel A. Yelton, age 18 and Edith L. Yelton, age 16.⁷ Walter Yelton died between 1920 and 1930.⁸

     James Calvin Copeland was born in 1842 in Overton County, Tennessee.¹

James Calvin Copeland married Mary L. Yelton, daughter of Charles Louis Yelton and Edith Norris, on 9 October 1866 Tennessee. There is another Mary Yelton, born about 1851, who could possibly be the wife of James Copeland. However, that Mary was living in Putnam Co by 1860. Since this Mary remained in Overton Co with her family, I think she is more likely to be the Mary Yelton who married James Copeland.^1,2 James Copeland, age 22 was listed as the head of a household in the 1870 Census of Overton County, Tennessee. Also living in the household were Lockie A. Copeland, age 2 and Mrs. Mary Copeland, age 17. James reported owning no real estate, but had personal property worth $75.³ He was enumerated as the head of a household in the 1880 Census of Simpson County, Kentucky. The family included his wife, Mary Copeland, age 27, his son, William Copeland, age 7, his daughters, Lockey Copeland, age 12 and Noby Copeland, age 9.⁴ James Calvin Copeland died in 1888 in Simpson County, Kentucky.^1,2

     Adah Yelton was born circa 1871 in North Carolina.¹ She, was listed as a daughter of James Yelton, age 50, in the 1880 Census of Big Laurel, Madison County, North Carolina.²

     Robert Lee Davis was born on 24 December 1890 in McDowell County, North Carolina.^3,1,2 Robert E. Davis, age 9 was listed as a son of Noah W. Davis, age 36 in the 1900 Census of Henderson County, North Carolina.⁴ Robert A. Davis, age 19 was listed as a son of Noah W. Davis, age 47 in the 1910 Census of Henderson County, North Carolina.¹

Robert Lee Davis married Nola Gertrude Taylor on 7 November 1915 in Buncombe County, North Carolina.³ Robert Lee Davis was a guard at a government hospital.² He died on 6 March 1949 North Carolina.^3,2 He was buried at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, Henderson County, North Carolina, on 8 March 1949.²

     Alice Isabell Davis was born on 27 January 1893 in Buncombe County, North Carolina.² She was listed as a son of Noah W. Davis, age 36 in the 1900 Census of Henderson County, North Carolina.³ Isabell Davis, age 16 was listed as a daughter of Noah W. Davis, age 47 in the 1910 Census of Henderson County, North Carolina.¹

      I previously showed Farrie Mae married to Gird T. Russell, with two children. However, Gird Russell married Thana or Thaney Painter in 1914 and as far as I know they remained married until Gird died in 1952. Farrie Mae Davis was born on 23 February 1897 in Henderson County, North Carolina.^2,3 She was listed as a daughter of Noah W. Davis, age 36 in the 1900 Census of Henderson County, North Carolina.³ Farrie E. Davis, age 13 was listed as a daughter of Noah W. Davis, age 47 in the 1910 Census of Henderson County, North Carolina.¹
