Laura Vida Yelton married James D. Dudley on 28 December 1870.¹ Laura Dudly, age 27, was listed as the wife of Jas. D. Dudly, age 31, in the 1880 Census of Grant County, Kentucky.⁴ Laura survived the death of her husband, James D. Dudley, between 1894 and 1900.⁵ In its May 6, 1897 issue, the Williamstown Courier reported that Mrs. Laura Dudley visited her sister, Mrs. Nora Kuhn, in Grant County.⁶ In the 1900 Census of, Grant County, Kentucky, Laura Dudley, age 40 was listed as the head of a household. Other family members included her sons, Jessie Dudley, age 20, Walter Dudley, age 16, Clarance Dudley, age 15 and Perry Dudley, age 6, her daughter, Blanch Dudley, age 28. Other family members included his wife, Florence V. Yelton, age 3, his sons, Charles L. Wilson, age 21, George T. Wilson, age 11 and Berry N. Wilson, age 7, his daughters, Frances Wilson, age 17 and Mary Wilson, age 13. Florence has borne 7 children, all of whom are living.      Mary Elizabeth Stanley was born on 12 May 1872 in Virginia the daughter of Warren Stanley and Winnie Brown.^1,2

Mary Elizabeth Stanley married Robert Columbus Yelton, son of Jesse Hamilton Dugan Yelton and Sidney Ann (Sinda) Clark, circa 1890.^1,3 Mollie Yelton, age 28 was listed as the wife of Columbus Yelton, age 34 in the 1900 Census of Grant County, Kentucky.¹ Mary E. Yelton, age 57 was listed as the wife of Robert C. Yelton, age 64 in the 1930 Census of Grant County, Kentucky.⁴ Mary Elizabeth Stanley died on 1 November 1937 at Dry Ridge, Grant County, Kentucky, at age 65. She was survived by her husband, Robert Columbus Yelton.² Mary Elizabeth Stanley was buried at Williamstown, Grant County, Kentucky, on 3 November 1937.²

Bessie C. Yelton married Charles Dinser circa 1926. The census states that both Charles and Bessie are 36 years old. Charles' age at first marriage is 20, Bessie's is 32. Therefore, even if Bessie answered the question incorrectly (giving the age at which she married her current husband), the children must all be Charles' by a previous marriage.⁵ Bessie C. Yelton died in 1947.
