Yelton, age 44 in the 1910 Census of Grant County, Oklahoma.⁵ Porter registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1918 in Medford, Grant County, Oklahoma.¹ In 1918 Porter Jackson Yelton lived near Caldwell, Sumner County, Kansas.¹ He died on 23 November 1918 at Camp Cody, Deming, Luna County, New Mexico, apparently of pneumonia.^6,2,4

Yelton, age 64 in the 1930 Census of Kay County, Oklahoma.⁵ Bertha Porter died on 27 December 1933 at her daughter's home, Blackwell, Kansas.²
