ANDERSON, Bertha----March 22--Funeral services will be held in Kemmerer Wednesday at 2 p.m. from St. Pauls Lutheran church with Rev W. A. Meyer officiating for Mrs. Bertha Anderson 72, pioneer of this community who died Saturday afternoon at the L. C. M. hospital.  She had been in ill health the past year.

She was born in Sweden December 16, 1875 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Per Larson.  She came to America when 15, first living with an aunt, Mrs. Nellie Case in Salt Lake.  Shortly after she went to Colorado to work.  At Gunnison, Colo. , she became the bride of Edward Anderson November 26, 1895.

In 1900 the Andersons came to Wyoming and this district.  They lived in Oakley, Diamondville, Glencoe and Cumberland where Mr. Anderson worked in the mines and then moved to Kemmerer about 20 years ago.  With the exception of 8 years spent in Oregon , they resided in this district since the beginning of the century.

Surviving are Mr. Anderson, four daughters, Mrs. Harold Bloom (Ethel) of Provo, Utah, Mrs. Newell Harris (Nora), Mrs. Edward Carlson (Nellie), and Mrs. Roy Christianson (Lorraine), all of Kemmerer, and two sons, Harold and David Anderson both of Kemmerer, nine grandchildren, three great- grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Emma Klingman of Rock Springs, Wyo., and a brother, Bert Sundberg of Kemmerer.  Salt Lake Tribune Tuesday March 23, 1948


ANDERSON,  Mrs.  John  of Frontier passed away at her home in Frontier Wednesday from complications arising from a recent case of influenza.

Her son Malcolm recently passed away from the same disease.  Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson likely will be held in Kemmerer today, complete arrangements not having been made up to the Republicans press time.  The funeral likely will be private, and interment will be in the local cemetery.  Kemmerer Republican Friday, January 3, 1919


ARMSTRONG, David---Funeral Services for David Armstrong aged 45, were held at Diamondville at 2 oclock Sunday afternoon, at the LDS Church with Bishop William Jensen presiding.  The deceased was buried in Diamondville.  He is survived by a widow and the following children William, of Silver Bow, Mont., Mrs. James Eakins, Mrs. Hill Calloway, Mountain Home, Ida., Elizabeth, Rachel, David and Dorothy, all of Diamondville.  Three brothers and two sisters also survive.   He died in a Mining Accident Kemmerer Camera Wednesday June 23, 1920

Saturday the infant child of Mr.  and Mr. and Mrs. Perry Ashdown of Big Piney was reported to have died Then, on Monday, then on Monday the little ones mother Charlotte Ashdown, died at 2 oclock p. m.

Yesterday The Republican was informed by wire from Afton that a sister of Mrs. Ashdown, Miss Jennie Allred. passed away the evening before from influenza. Both were daughters of former State Representative and Mrs.. N  C. Allred of Afton.

Mrs. Ashdown was the wife of Perry Ashdown. forest ranger, recently transferred to the Big Piney district from Afton. The body was brought to Kemmerer Tuesday and prepared for shipment at the City Undertaking parlors, after which it was sent to deceaseds former home at Afton.

Miss Jennie Allred is well known in Kemmerer. and was a very talented young woman, having considerable fame as a singer. She appeared in the local theatre early last summer with the Rathburn players.  Kemmerer Republican Friday, January 3, 1919
