Drowned - Mr. A. A. Adams, a tragedies of high merit and brilliant promise, was lost overboard from the steamer "Hibernia", as she was under way for Cincinnati on the trip before the last. We understand that Mr. Adams had a large amount of gold about his person, which probably sunk.

PENNYBACKER, Hon. Isaac S
The National Intelligencer of January 13 contains a notice of the decease of Senator Pennybacker and the proceedings of the two houses in relation thereto. After a long and severe illness, Mr. P, died on Tuesday January 12, respected by those who knew him and mourned by his family. Barrow and Pennybacker both gone in a fortnight ! Assuredly, height of station presents no barrier to the advances of death.
