WEBSTER COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY West Virginia
Welcome! Welcome to the Webster County Historical Society website. This site is one of our efforts to strengthen communication with our membership and build a stronger, more dynamic Society. To become a member in the Society click here. Our purpose: We exist to preserve the past for the future. We are dedicated to preserving, researching, and sharing the history of Webster County West Virginia. We have undertaken the huge task of establishing a museum for our county's history. Renovation to the exterior of the McLaughlin House is nearly done. Once the Historic home is completed it will serve as a museum for all of Webster county and will contain artifacts relating to our history as well as serve as a repository for research material. To see this house as it appeared in 1910 click here. Our Wish: We want to unite all people with a genealogical/historic interest in Webster county under one banner. In order to preserve our unique heritage we desperately need motivated members who share our dream of providing fast easy access to our county's history.
