Oleta Fuller
Oleta Fuller, 92, of French Creek died Saturday July 25, 2009 at the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg.
She was born April 20, 1917, in Browntown, a daughter of the late Roy and Bernice Clevenger Goff. On Sept. 16, 1933, she married Ronald L. Fuller who preceded her in death on July 3, 1995. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Oleta Fuller; three brothers, William B.Goff, Othie Montgomery Goff and Robert Goff; and one sister, Juanita Parsons.
She is survived by one daughter, Loretta Shockey and husband, Donald, of French Creek with whom she resided; one son, Archie "Sonny" Fuller and wife, Carrie, of Smithville, Ohio; five granddaughters, Carrie L. Shockey of French Creek, Tammie J. Shockey of Cape Coral, Fla., Tonnya K. Lowther and husband Rev. Edward of Buckhannon, Kimberly D. Fuller of Columbus, Ohio and Dionne Andrews of French Creek; one grandson, Ronald L. Fuller and wife, Beth, of Marshallville, Ohio; two great-granddaughters, Brandi and Shalayna J. Lowther both of Buckhannon; and three great-grandsons, Abram, Solomon and Joseph Fuller all of Marshallville.
Mrs. Fuller was a homemaker and a member of the Wayside Southern Baptist Church. Friends will be received today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bobby Lowther officiating. Burial will follow in the Upshur County Memorial Park at Tennerton.

David R. Kackley
David Randal Kackley, 58, formerly of Davis, passed away July 26, 2009, at his home in Chester, Md.
He was born April 2, 1951, in Elkins, a son of the late Holbert Kenneth and Mabel Irene Helmick Kackley.
Survivors include his ex-wife, Elaine Kackley; three sons, Jerry Kackley and wife, Stacie, of Lusby, Md., Jody Kackley and wife, Tina, of Davis, and Tim Kackley of Chester, Md.; one daughter, Christina Kackley of Denton, Md.; one brother, Holbert Kenneth Kackley of Tennessee; two sisters, Nancy Poling of Wheeling and Olive Hames of Berlin, Md.; and four grandchildren.
Dave was employed as a plumber by W.L. Gary. He was a member of Davis Thomas Fairfax Lodge 174, FOE 936 and the Plumbers Union Local 5. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Friends will be received at the Hinkle Funeral Home on Thursday, July 30, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31 at 11 a.m. at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Martin officiating.

Olive Heitz
Olive Carrico Heitz, 84, formerly of Canaan Valley, passed away July 26, 2009, at Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax, Va.
She was born Aug. 21, 1924, in Coketon, a daughter of the late Chambers Lee and Laura Elizabeth Lipscomb Carrico.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Heitz Jr.; one daughter, Elizabeth Carrico Heitz; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Rebecca Turley and Rachel Eden Turley, all of Fairfax, Va.
Mrs. Heitz retired from the federal government with more than 44 years as a communications specialist with the Communications Electronics Department of the U.S. Army. She received numerous awards during federal service, including the Meritorious Civilian Service Award. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association, Independent Telephone Pioneers, NARFE, AL Manarah Chapter, Ladies Oriental Shrine and National Honor Society.
Friends will be received on Thursday, July 30, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., the funeral hour, at Buena United Methodist Church in Canaan Valley with the Rev. Jim Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Buena Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral home is in charge of the arrangements. From 28 Jul 2009.

James B. Dove
James Bernard "Jim" Dove, 60, a resident of the Leadmine community, St. George, departed this life Monday, July 27, 2009, at his home.
He was born Sunday, Sept. 5, 1948, at Leadmine, a son of the late T.A. "Ted" Dove and Orpha Mae Evans Dove, who survives at Thomas.
Also surviving are two sisters, Norma Jean Lansberry of St. George and Beverly June Snyder and husband, John, of Grafton; five nieces and nephews, James Lansberry and wife, Jeanie, of Evans, Pamela Moreland and husband, Jeff, of Petersburg, Jenese Hebb and husband, Jeff, of Hendricks, Justin Jones and wife, Chatel, of Parsons, and Shasta Jones of Morgantown; and great nieces, Megan Lansberry of Petersburg and Shilah Jones of Parsons.
Preceding him in death are two half brothers, Paul Dove and Harold Dove.
He attended the school at Shaffertown and Parsons High School.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He was stationed in Germany.
He was a construction worker, a former employee of Blackwater State Park and more recently a security guard at Mt. Storm.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home at Parsons today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Thursday, July 30, 2009, at 11 a.m. Pastor Neil Precht will officiate and interment will follow at the National Cemetery at Grafton, where full military rites will be accorded.

Ralph Lough Dove, 83, of Mozer, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at his home. He was born Jan. 8, 1926, at Mozer, and was the son of the late Homer R. Dove and Leta G. (Lough) Dove.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg.
The Eastern Star 138, Franklin, will conduct a service on Thursday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church at Mozer, with the Rev. Rita Beeman officiating.
Interment will be in the Kline Cemetery at Kline.

Olive C. Heitz
Olive Carrico Heitz, 84, formerly of Canaan Valley, passed away July 26, 2009, at Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax, Va.

Randy Preston Moore,47, of Huttonsville entered into eternal rest Monday July 27, 2009, at Huttonsville.
He was born Tuesday Feb. 6, 1962, in Mill Creek, a son of the late Francis Preston and Louran Hannah Moore.
Randy was a lifelong resident of Randolph County who loved bear and deer hunting and fishing. He was an avid outdoorsman. He attended the schools of Randolph County. He was employed as a logger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three infant siblings.
Randy's survivors include his daughter, Tosha Moore and companion Brad Branson; one granddaughter, Dakota Branson and one grandson, Austin Branson, all of Valley Head; his companion of several years, Susie Davis of Huttonsville; two sisters, Darlene Friel, and husband, Robert, of Huttonsville, and Valentina Scott and husband, Kelly, of Mill Creek; five brothers, Vencil Hannah and wife, April, of Mill Creek, Billy Moore and wife, Edith, Steve Moore and wife, Virginia, Gary Moore and wife, Devan, all of Junior, and Mike Moore and wife, Tina, of Huttonsville; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at The Randolph Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 100 Meadow Lane, Valley Bend. Ann E. Loar
Ann E. Loar, 80, of Alliance, Ohio, passed away at 3:59 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Alliance Community Hospital.
She was born May 19, 1929, in Junior to Howard and Kermith (Browning) Ware and resided in Alliance, Ohio, since 1951.
Ann was a 1946 graduate of Belington High School. She was a member of the Vine St. United Methodist Church and the Church Women United.
Survivors include her husband, George Loar of Alliance, Ohio, whom she married April 21, 1951; son, Stephen C. (Terri) Loar of Alliance, Ohio; two grandchildren, Melissa and Joshua Loar; one sister, Barbara (Jerry) Sturm of Parsons; two brothers, Leo (June) Ware and Bill (Dorothy) Ware, both of Belington; one nephew and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1 at Cassaday-Turkle-Christian Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams officiating. Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.

Cuyler M. Teter
Mr. Cuyler Marion Teter, 80, a resident of Coalton, passed away early Thursday, July 30, 2009, at his home.
He was born Aug. 29, 1928, in Elkins, a son of the late Dave J. Teter and the late Louise Byron Teter.
On Aug. 31, 1946, in Oakland, Md., he was married to Marie Elizabeth Jackson Teter who survives in Coalton. The Teters would have celebrated 63 years of marriage in August of 2009.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Teter is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Linda and John Wood, Terry and Robert Broschart, Debbie and Dave Rowan and Jody and Roger Kimble, all of Coalton; seven grandchildren, Mollie Wood, John Cuyler "J.C." Wood, Mindi Alfred and husband, Nick, Jake Rowan and wife, Tammy, Janson Rowan, Ashley Kimble and Jordan Kimble; four great-grandchildren, Brad Meshae, Shala and Paige; and two sisters, Carrie Alice Becker, Little River, S.C., and Joann Slocum, North Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Preceding him in death was one brother, Shires "Babe" Teter and one grandson, Justin Dwaine Kimble.
Mr. Teter was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1946 and worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways for many years prior to his retirement. He also owned and operated his own sawmill for several years.
Mr. Teter's remains will be cremated and interment will follow at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Corporation, P.O. Kenneth Tallman
Kenneth Tallman, 73, of Lewisburg, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 24,1935, at Belington, a son of the late Ray E. and Rose E. Keiser Tallman.
He was the last survivor of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Sue; three brothers, Willard, Earl and Norman Tallman of Belington; and one sister, Norma Grapes of Columbus, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Tallman of Lewisburg; two daughters, Becky Tallman of Lewisburg and Melody Sheppard and husband, Johnny, of Salem, Va.; one son, Kenneth Tallman Jr. and wife, Millie, of Alderson; and one grandson, Keith Sheppard and fiance, Ashley Dunford, of Salem, Va.
He was retired from the West Virginia State Police, where he served from 1958 to 1981. He was stationed in Richwood, Williamson, Oak Hill and Lewisburg, where he retired as Corporal. He was also a limousine driver for Greenbrier Valley Airport.
He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy; a member of the Masonic Lodge 42 AF&AM in Lewisburg; and a member of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church.
Friends may call today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg. Funeral services will Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with the Rev. Jeff Kanode and the Rev. Joe Geiger officiating. Anthony Waybright
Anthony Burr Waybright, 40, a resident of Scottsdale, Ariz., passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009, in the Scottsdale Healthcare Center in Scottsdale, Ariz.
He was born May 7, 1969, in Philippi, a son of the late Ellis Paul Waybright and Barbara (Anderson) Johnson and stepfather Robert Johnson, who survives in Belington.
Also surviving are several aunts and uncles.
Mr. Waybright was preceded in death by one brother, Ellis "Paul" Waybright; paternal grandparents Burl and Violet Waybright of Elkins; maternal grandparents Bill and Verdie Anderson; and a special uncle, Charles Anderson.
Mr. Waybright was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.

Paul Talbott
Mr. Paul Nolan Talbott, 61, a resident of the Talbott community near Belington, departed this life late Thursday, July 30, 2009, at his residence.
He had been in his usual health and death was sudden and unexpected.
He was born June 5, 1948, in the Talbott community, a son of the late Harold C. Talbott and Mildred Streets Talbott, who still survives in the Talbott community.
On Oct. 2, 1971, at Elkins, he was united in marriage to the former Dottie Weese, who survives at their home in the Talbott community near Belington.
Mr. Talbott is survived by one son, Brian P. Talbott and wife, Rhonda; one daughter, Lori L. Wetzel; four grandchildren, Taylor and Tanner Talbott and Megan and Kirsten Wetzel, all of Belington; and his mother-in-law, Waneta Weese Wheeler of Zanesville, Ohio.
He is also survived by one brother, David Talbott and wife, Mary, of the Talbott community; and two sisters, Linda Beam of Talbott community and Susan Jones and husband, Pat, of Philippi. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Paul was a 1966 graduate of the Philip Barbour High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving with the 3rd Marine Division during the Vietnam War.
He was currently owner/operator and president of the Talbott Lumber Company in Belington, serving on the Barbour County Good Samaritan Center board of directors and the Barbour County Economic Development Authority board where he was presently serving as vice president.
Paul also was a member of the West Virginia Forestry Association, served on the Philippi Board of Trade, served on the Volga/Century PSD board and was a lifetime member of the VFW and the Belington Elementary School Parent Teacher Association. Paul attended the Talbott United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Belington Volunteer Fire Department where most of his years were spent serving in the capacity of president.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home at 210 Brandenburg St. in Belington from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, and again on Monday, Aug. 3, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ron Phillips and Pastor Wink McQuain officiating.
Interment will follow in the Talbott Cemetery near Belington where full military rites will be accorded.

Stanton Reed
Stanton Reed, 88, of Route 2, Buckhannon, the Little Sand Run community, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2009, at the home of his companion and caregiver, Areta Wilfong of Route 6, Buckhannon.
He was born Aug. 11, 1920, in Upshur County, a son of the late Charles and Carrie Mowery Reed.
He was preceded in death on Oct. 21, 1994, by his wife, Virginia Tomblyn Reed, whom he married July 3, 1943; his brother, Clifford Reed; and his sister, Lena V. Bailey.
Stanton is survived by his son, Brent Reed of The Villages, Fla.; his daughter, Brenda Pumphrey and Mike, her husband, of Route 2, Buckhannon; his grandson, Michael Pumphrey and Sheena, his wife, of Route 2, Buckhannon; great-granddaughter, Mahala Pumphrey; his companion, Areta Wilfong and her family and sisters-in-law, Hannah Ruth Tomblyn Butcher of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Jean Tomblyn of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Mount Hope United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Tennerton Lions Club, where he received the Melvin Jones Foundation Award and had more than 40 years of perfect attendance, a member of the VFW Post 3663 and American Legion Post 7 of Buckhannon. He had worked in the builders supply industry in Buckhannon for many years, was a cabinet maker at Kyle M. Reger Co., he sharpened saws and was a farmer.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at the Tomblyn Whitescarver Funeral Chapel, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, with the Rev. Jeff Zickefoose officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted at the graveside by the VFW Post 3663, American Legion Post 7 and DAV Chapters 5 and 36.
