Harold D. Wagoner

Harold Donald Wagoner, 81, of Route 2, Buckhannon, the Bailey Ridge community, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at his home under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice.

He was born Nov. 21, 1926, in Randolph County, a son of the late Jacob and Missouri Zickefoose Wagoner.

He was united in marriage April 3, 1953, to Olga E. Manley Wagoner, who preceded him in death on April 28, 2003.

He is survived by two daughters, Donna and husband, Steve Perkins, of Bailey Ridge and Coleen and husband, Bob Arbogast, of Buckhannon; and one son, Danny and wife, Donna Wagoner, of Bailey Ridge. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one great-grandson, one sister and four brothers.

Mr. Wagoner was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired coal miner.

Friends will be received at Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 1 p.m. at the funeral chapel with Pastor J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Interment will follow in Bailey Cemetery. Buckhannon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 663, the Frank B. Howard F. Fulton

Howard Franklin Fulton, 66, a resident of Parsons, departed this life Saturday morning, Jan. 19, 2008, at his home.

He was born Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1941, at Kempton, Md., a son of the late Murl Fulton and Hazel Lipscomb Fulton. On Aug. 30, 1968, at Oakland, Md., he was married to the former Mable Agnes Canfield, who survives at Elkins.

Surviving are two sons, Howard Lee Fulton and wife, Courtney, and Daniel Glenn Fulton, all of Elkins; two daughters, Becky Marsh and husband, Thomas, of Parsons and Hazel Marie Fulton of Elkins; one brother, Robert Alfred Fulton of Hendricks; one sister, Elva Thompson of Parsons; three grandchildren, Katie Phillips and husband, Dave, Angie Marsh and Ritchie,and Shayna Marsh, all of Parsons; and two great-grandchildren, Ellissa Phillips and Nevaeh Burdock.

Preceding him in death were one daughter, Tammy Sue Fulton; and two brothers, Curtis Murl Fulton and Edward Lee Fulton.

He attended the schools of Maryland. He was an employee of the former Nursery Bottom, and worked at the Mountain Agriculture Producers Association until his retirement. He attended Hendricks Pentecostal Church of God at Hendricks.

Nola J. Barr George, 76, of Dorcas, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, in Grant County Nursing Home, Petersburg. Rita L. Pizzoferrato

Rita L. Pizzoferrato, 87, a resident of Easy Street, Elkins, departed this life late Friday evening, Jan. 18, 2008, in Davis Memorial Hospital.

She was born Sunday, June 20, 1920, at Norton, a daughter of the late Nicola Pizzoferrato and Rosa Antonia Polce Pizzoferrato.

She had never married.

Surviving are two brothers, Oreste “Bud” Pizzoferrato and wife, Betty, of Elkins and Anthony “Tony” Pizzoferrato of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Butch and Elaine P. Ware, both of Elkins; one sister-in-law, Joyce “Peets” Pizzoferrato of Akron, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death are three brothers, Leeber Louis, Coste and Julio “Peets” Pizzoferrato; one sister, Frances DiMario; three brothers-in-law, Gus Butch, Philip DiMario and Ronald Ware; and one sister-in-law, Ruby Pizzoferrato.

She was a graduate of Coalton High School with the class of 1938. She had worked for the former Butch’s Store at Harding, the former Montgomery Ward Co. at Elkins and at Citizens National Bank for more than 25 years where she was the first woman bank officer in Randolph County and at the time of her retirement was the vice president of human resources. She was a member of Davis Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Elkins Woman’s Club and Saint Brendan Catholic Church. She was an avid reader.

The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Tuesday, at 7 p.m., at the funeral home, a wake service will be recited by the Very Rev. Sarah Naomi Hanifan Richards Brant, 84, of Buckhannon, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, in Paula’s Home Care at Buckhannon under the care of St. Joseph’s Hospice.

She was born May 31, 1923, at Cubana, a daughter of the late Jess Hanifan and Lola Zickefoose Hanifan.

Surviving are two sons, Marvin Hanifan and wife, Dottie, of Buckhannon and Richard Hanifan Bigler and wife, Diana, of Clarksville, Ga.; two brothers, Jerry Maynard Hanifan and wife, Luella, of Buckhannon and Norman Denver Hanifan and wife, Hilda, of Tallmansville; three sisters, Lottie Lewis and husband, Earl, of Buckhannon, Margaret Ann Simmons of Cassidy and Doris Talbott and husband, Robert, of Arizona; four granddaughters, Donna Kay Woody and husband, Delmas, and Denise Matthey and husband, Bruce, all of Buckhannon, Becky Gifford and husband, Kris, of Cibolo, Texas, and Bonni Bigler of Atlanta, Ga.; and great-grandchildren, Jessica Woody, Joshua and Kayla Matthey and Olivia and Colin Gifford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Job Richards; her second husband, Ashley Brant; three brothers, Jess Oliver Hanifan, Calvin Hanifan and Stafford Hanifan; and four sisters, Genieve Phipps, Dessie Hanifan, Helen Lee Wagner and Adis Corrick.

She was a homemaker.

Coy J. Bonner

Coy Jesse Bonner, 76, of Hendricks, passed away Jan. 21, 2008, at his home. His death was attributed to cancer.

He was born Nov. 27, 1931, at Hendricks, a son of the late Ira Lakin and Lena Christine Carr Bonner.

On Nov. 29, 1963, he was married to Patsy Joan Bonner who survives.

Also surviving is one son, Terry Coy Bonner and his wife, Pamela V. Bonner, of Hambleton; three grandchildren, Ashley R. Bonner of Parsons and Heather B. Bonner and Taylor B. Bonner who live at home; and one brother, Don C. Bonner of Parsons.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.

He attended school in Tucker County and worked for the Department of Highways for 25 years as a heavy equipment operator. He retired in January 1994. He also worked for the Penn Line Service of Scottsdale, Pa., for several years. He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant during the Korean War. He attended the Sycamore Grove Church of Bull Run and was a Pentecostal by faith.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Hinkle Funeral Home in Davis. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at the funeral home with the Rev. Gregory L. Gray

Gregory Lynn Gray, 50, a resident of Parsons, departed this life early Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at the Baltimore Washington Hospital at Baltimore, Md. He had been in his usual health and death was unexpected.

He was born Aug. 5, 1957, at Parsons, a son of Odford “Buck” Gray and Margaret Pauline Tahaney Gray, who survive.

He was married Sept. 15, 1977, at Oakland, Md., to the former Carolyn Sue Myers, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Sabrina Sue Marks and fiance, Chris Belcher, of Hambleton and Kelly Lynn Pennington and husband, Benny, of Parsons; two brothers, Patrick A. Gray and wife, Lynda, of Parsons and Timothy L. Gray of Shinston; four grandchildren, Gavin Marks, Rudy Skidmore, Brailey Pennington and Abram Pennington.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward Tahaney and Florna Tahaney Swisher; and paternal grandparents, Herman Gray and Ida Blanche Evans Gray.

He attended the schools of Tucker County and was a graduate of the Robert E. Lee High School at Staunton, Va. He was a former chef for the Country Club at Staunton. He was a former employee of the Quick Bus Service at Staunton. He was a former truck driver for the D&W Truck Lines of Parsons. He worked along with his father at the Southern States of Parsons, and following the flood of 1985, he continued in the propane business. He worked for the city of Parsons and was a former city councilman. He worked for the Tucker County Board of Education as a school bus driver for many years.

Greg was known for his jolly disposition and he loved camping with his family and he loved his four-wheeler and boating.

Hattie S. Warner

Hattie Sue Warner, 63, of Route 1, Box 292, Buckhannon, died at 5:39 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at United Hospital Center at Clarksburg.

She was born Aug. 26, 1944, at Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Cranston E. Marple and Maxina Virginia Reger Marple.

On Nov. 15, 1963, she was united in marriage to William Earl Warner, who survives at Buckhannon.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Warner is also survived by a son, Robert Wayne Warner and wife, Kristina, of Volga; a brother, Hartzel Marple and wife, Mary, of Buckhannon; a sister, Avis Caynor and husband, R. Woodley, of Mt. Clare; and a grandson, Seth Michael Warner of Volga.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ida Marie Marple.

Mrs. Warner was a former loan officer for Bank One. After retiring, she worked at Books, Books, Books. She was a member of Heaston United Methodist Church at Hodgesville. She loved the Lord and her family and friends very much. Her greatest joy was helping others and her faith in God was a great comfort to her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Ruby (Crites) Simmons, 88, of Petersburg, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at her home.

Sarah Belle Summerfield Nestor, 85, a resident of Parsons, departed this life early Sunday morning, Jan. 20, 2008, at Monongalia General Hospital at Morgantown.

She was born Thursday, May 18, 1922, at Dry Fork, a daughter of the late Donald Summerfield and Lottie Roades Summerfield.

On Dec. 1, 1945, at Oakland, Md., she was married to Hubert “Bud” Berton Nestor, who preceded her in death Jan. 4, 2005.

Surviving are one son, Ernest Lee Nestor of Leadmine; one sister, Bonnie Hartpance of Texas; one son-in-law, Larry Streets of Leadmine; four grandchildren, Chatel Jones and husband, Justin, of Parsons, Adam Streets of Leadmine, and Wesley and Emily Nestor, both of Elkins.

Preceding her in death were one son, Mark Burton Nestor, who preceded her in death in 1989; one daughter, Deborah Faye Streets, who preceded her in death in 2005; three brothers, Cecil, Walter and Jim Summerfield; and three sisters, Elsie Lipscomb, Susie Teter and Inis Roy.

She attended the schools of Tucker County. She was employed by the Tucker County Board of Education as a cook for many years. She was a member of the Parsons Church of the Nazarene, the Nazarene Willing Workers and the Parsons Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She was an avid bingo player and a noted cook.

Grace V. Crites

Grace Virginia “Gracie” Crites, 91, a resident of Serenity Care Home, Buckhannon, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at the home.

She was born April 3, 1916, at Crawford, a daughter of the late Lamon Wimer and Nellie Crawford Wimer.

On Jan. 16, 1933, she was united in marriage to Albert Crites who preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1997.

Grace is survived six sisters, Marie Brake of Buckhannon, Rosalie Alderman of Frenchton, Ruth Mollahan of Norton, Ohio, Luella Hurd and husband, Wayne, of Akron, Ohio, Iris Mae Swecker and husband, Bill, of Buckhannon and Jean Samples of Mansfield, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Patty Jo Wimer of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard Wimer and Bobby Wimer.

For years, Grace had a love for the farm. She and her husband, Albert, raised animals, planted a garden and took care of their home. Grace enjoyed the outside and loved flowers. She also sold eggs, butter and milk to friends and neighbors in the community. After moving to town, Grace still enjoyed her garden and flowers, but one of her greatest joys was the love for her sisters and brother and their families.

Grace was a seamstress for Reidbord Brothers. She was a Methodist by faith.

Lavelle V. Sherman

Lavelle Virginia Phillips Sherman, 85, a resident of Montrose, departed this life Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at the

Davis Memorial Hospital at Elkins.

She was born May 11, 1922, at Parsons, a daughter of the late Floyd Phillips and Zora Goff Phillips, and her stepmother Otia Shaw Phillips.

In October of 1939, she was united in marriage to Oscar Lesley “Scrub” Sherman, who survives. They had celebrated 68 years of marriage.

Also surviving are three sons, Philip Sherman Sr. and wife, Carolyn, of Horseshoe Run, David Sherman and wife, Lorraine, of Ohio and Stephen Sherman Sr. and wife, Mary, of Michigan; one daughter, Rebecca Sherman Bozic and husband, Dennis, of Virginia; one brother, Keith “Sonny” Phillips of the Moore Community; three sisters, Alean Loughry of Ohio, Louise Simmons of Parsons and Helen Sherman of Maryland; five grandchildren, Mark, Stephen, John and Scott Sherman and Dylan Bozic; and one great-grandson, Nick Sherman. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Elmer and Calvin Phillips; and one grandson, Philip Sherman Jr.

She attended the schools of Tucker County. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Moore United Methodist Church. She loved to cook and bake.

Madge E. Andrews

Madge Ethyl Schoonover Andrews of rural Peru, Ind., was called to join her Lord at 4:34 p.m. Jan. 21, 2008. Death occurred at Saint Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, Ind., as a result of complications from kidney failure.

Madge was born July 15, 1917, at Montrose, a daughter of the late Leslie C. and Lula Mae Hyre Schoonover.

Madge attended and received a two-year, standard normal certificate from Davis & Elkins College. She taught the lower elementary grades in a two-room school in the Randolph County school system at Montrose.

She was married to William A. Andrews June 20, 1942, in Monterey, Va., by the Rev. D.G. Trent.

Madge worked as an endowment bookkeeper at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. After moving to Hustisford, Wis., Madge received her bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in 1970 and taught kindergarten at Hustisford, Wis., Consolidated Schools until her retirement.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Nettie A. White and her husband, Douglas C., of Hemet, Calif., and Susan A. Newman and her husband, William M., of Peru, Ind.; her brother, Thomas H. Schoonover and his wife, Virginia, of Montrose; six grandchildren, Thomas White of Franklin, Tenn., Sandra White Gray and her husband, James, of Murrieta, Calif., Katherine Newman Queen and her husband, Brian, of Sugar Grove, Ohio, John A. Newman and his wife, Kelly, of Peru, Ind., James A. Newman of Reno, Nev., and Kristin L. Newman of Peru, Ind. Madge also has 11 great-grandchildren; nephews, James L. Schoonover and his wife, Patricia, of Montrose and William R. Schoonover and his wife, Donna, of Grafton; and nieces, Mary Durham of Pineville and MaryAnn Donnell and her husband, Ken, of Livermore, Calif. Madge, with her husband, led the youth group at Presbyterian Church, Hustisford, Wis., from 1964 to 1986. She enjoyed RV life and traveled between Wisconsin, California and Indiana. She relocated from Wisconsin to Indiana in 1986. Madge was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Peru, Ind.

A memorial service will be at the First Presbyterian Church in Peru, Ind., on Friday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Hess officiating. Visitation and a light lunch will follow at the church. Burial will be a private ceremony at Eel River Cemetery, Miami County, Ind. Cynthia Boxell-Ware

Cynthia L. Boxell-Ware, 56, a resident of Elkins, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, in Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown.

She was born Dec. 1, 1951, at Elkins, a daughter of the late James E. Boxell and Gladys Arlene Haddix Boxell. Surviving are two sons, Ross Ware and Ryan Ware, both of Elkins; one sister, Jacque Boxell-Butts of Frederick, Md.; one half sister, Adrena Wood of Oklahoma; and her stepmother, Naina Wyne Boxell of Hagerstown, Md. Also surviving are two nephews, Christopher and Brian Butts, both of Frederick, Md.; three aunts, Joetta Welch and husband, Roy, of Dailey, Ardell Thompson and husband, Phil, of Elkins and Elaine Nelson of Struthers, Ohio; one uncle, Carroll Haddix and wife, Carolyn, of Dailey; and numerous cousins including Kim Welch, who was also a friend and confidant. She is also survived by her former husband, Douglas Ware and his friend Pam; and close family friends, Joe, Kim and Kaela Ross and Bill and Jennifer Shreve and family.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Raymond and Eliza Boxell and Ross and Gladys Haddix; and two uncles, Ross Sonny Haddix and Donald Haddix.

Cynthia attended Fairmont State College, West Virginia University and Davis & Elkins School of Nursing. She had formerly worked as a real estate agent for Seneca Realty. She was a team mother for Elkins Babe Ruth League and a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church.

At Cynthia’s request, her remains will be cremated. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at noon on Saturday, Jan. 26, at St. Brendan Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Donald X. Higgs, VF as the Presider. A luncheon will follow at the church. Jack T. Gnegy

Jack Thomas Gnegy, 77, of Davis, passed away Jan. 21, 2008, in Garret County Memorial Hospital, Oakland, Md.

He was born June 26, 1930, at Davis, a son of the late Walter Cline and Annie Hill Forsythe Gnegy.

He was never married.

He is survived by one brother, Donald C. (Bernettie) Gnegy of Mackeyville; and two sisters, Jean (Daniel) Illari of Finksburg, Md., and Ruth (Victor) Ujcic of Glen Rock, Pa.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert; one half brother, Edwin; and one half sister, Lenora Spiggle.

Mr. Gnegy was a mill wright for Bethlehem Steel and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Fraternal Order of Eagles 936 and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to fish and hunt.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Eagles fund of the Tucker County Endowment Foundation.

Kenneth C. Parli, 82, passed away Jan. 22, 2008.

Flora Ellen “Flo” Quarry, 81, of Lady Lake, Fla., died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008.

She was born in Elkins.

Surviving are her husband, John H. Quarry of Lady Lake, Fla.; three daughters, Pamela Jane Shrader of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Marilyn Sue Kuhns of Kalkaska, Mich., and Victoria Anne Lowery of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Paul R. Campbell of Franklin, Tenn., and George Campbell of Sunset, Texas; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and was an active golfer with family and friends in the golfing community. She was Protestant by faith. Mrs. Quarry and her husband celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary Feb. 22, 2007.

Kenneth C. Parli, 82, a resident of Wichita, Kan., departed this life Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008. Death was unexpected and attributed to cardiac arrest.

Rebecca Sturdivant

Rebecca Sue Sturdivant, 49, a resident of 210 Crystal Springs Mobile Home Park departed this life early Wednesday morning Jan. 23, 2008, at her home. She had been in failing health but death was unexpected .

She was born Feb. 13, 1958, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Granville Robert Sturdivant Sr. and Janice Lynn Strawder, who survives in Elkins.

Additional survivors include her two sons, Donald Ray Fortney of Elkins and Brian Keith Fortney of Beverly; three brothers, William Cecil Sturdivant of Elkins, Granville Robert Sturdivant Jr. of Belington and Steven Wayne Strawder of Junior; and her loving companion, Raymond Vincent Meadows of Crystal Springs with whom she made her home for the last six years. Grandchildren include Natasha Harris, Patrick Fortney, Bryanna Fortney, Mackenzie Lyons, Alyssia Howell and Chance Brady Miller. Several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles also survive.

She was preceded in death by one son, Eric Brady Sturdivant; maternal grandparents, Mabel Blanche and Cecil Strawder; paternal grandparents, Roselyn Elizabeth and William Arthur Sturdivant.

Ms. Sturdivant attended the schools of Randolph County and before becoming disabled, she was employed by the Dollar General Store where she had worked as a sales clerk.

Robert Riggleman

Robert L. Riggleman, 76, of Laurel Park Community, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008.

He was born June 18, 1931, at home in Hemlock, the son of the late Ernest H. and Belvia Light Riggleman.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hutchison Riggleman; three daughters, Doris Boserman Longwell of of Clarksburg, Susan Riggleman Jackson of Maumee, Ohio, and Mary Riggleman Bland of Franklin. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Surviving also are one sister, Avis Riggleman Rowan of Bridgeport; and one sister-in-law, Joan Helmick Riggleman of Mabie.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arnell D. Riggleman and Arden K. Riggleman.

He entered the Air Force in 1952. He was stationed in Japan as a staff sergeant during the Korean Conflict and served with the 507 Fighter Group. He spent 39 years in the trucking industry and retired in 1990 as terminal manager for Allegheny Freight Lines in Clarksburg.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 155 of Clarksburg. He was an avid gardener, hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a Methodist by faith.

Family and friends may call at Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas Drive, Nutter Fort from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26. A funeral service will be conducted at the conclusion of visitation. Following the service, per his request, Mr. Riggleman will be cremated. His cremains will later be interred in Mountain State Memorial Gardens in Elkins. Ethel Marie Pingley George Jenkins, 78, a resident of Norton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at her home.

She was born March 2, 1929, at Norton, a daughter of the late Enoch J. Pingley and the late Mona Channel Pingley McClanahan.

She was twice married, first to Hobert James George, who preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1963. She later married Cullen B. Jenkins, who preceded her in death on May 25, 1985.

Surviving are two sons, Hensley “Butch” George of Orrville, Ohio, and Arnold George of Dalton, Ohio; and seven daughters, Barbara Carder of Philippi, Edith Scott of Dartmore, Loretta Schartiger of Middleport, Ohio, Arlene Bowers of Tampa, Fla., Ruth Poling of Callahan, Fla., Virginia Newsome of French Creek and Susan Jenkins of Buckhannon. One brother, Russell R. Pingley of Millersburg, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Leon (Mabel) Shiflett of Norton, Mrs. Millard (Edith) Abbott of Canton, Ohio, and Mrs. Dewayne (Verna) Proudfoot of Orville, Ohio; 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Also preceding her in death were two sons, Ronald Lee George and Roger Dewayne George; a daughter, Evelyn Travise; a grandson, Hensley “Butchy” George; three sisters, Eva L. Cross, Bertie Pingley and Isabel Pingley; and two brothers, Grady J. Pingley and Enoch R. Pingley.

Mrs. Jenkins attended the schools of Randolph County and was a homemaker.

Joseph H. Cooper

Joseph Harold Cooper left us Jan. 23, 2008, in Ruby Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 28, 1949, the son of Joe and Bessie Cooper of Canaan Valley.

He was the loving husband of Patricia Tekavec Cooper and the loving father of Caryn Briana and Jesse Quinn. He was fortunate to experience the love of a large extended family and is survived by sisters, Sue Ellen (Kenneth) Sturm, Carolyn Brown, Linda Cooper, Joyce (Robert) Edgell, Jo Ann (David) Ecke and Lisa (Robert) Porter.

Paul L. “Pap” Everett, 73, of Buckhannon, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, in Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown.

He was born May 31, 1934, at Effingham, Ill., a son of the late Renes Everett and Louise Gillespie Everett.

On May 8, 1957, he was married to Dorothy A. Anthony Everett, who survives at Buckhannon.

Also surviving are one son, Kevin D. Everett of Buckhannon; one daughter, Melanie A. Kelley and husband, Mike, of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Michael Kelley and finance, Carissa Waugaman, of Queens and Alexander C. Everett of Buckhannon; four brothers, Charles Everett and Pauline of Fredricktown, Ohio, Richard Everett and wife, Ruth, of Providence, R.I., David Everett and wife, Nelda, of Effingham, Ill., and Bobby Everett of Wheeler, Ill.; several nieces and nephews; and a special sister-in-law, Sally Tkach and husband, Frank, of Poland, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Paul L. Everett Jr.; and one brother, Loren Everett.

He was a roughneck with S.W. Jack Drilling Co. and was a Christian by faith. He was retired from Aristocrat Glass of Buckhannon. A special thanks to Dr. Rebecca Schmidt, Barbara Weaner, PA, and Elkins Dialysis.

Friends will be received from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Robert Lee McAtee Sr., 55, a resident of Huttonsville, passed away Sunday afternoon, Jan. 20, 2008, in Davis Memorial Hospital emergency department.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today from Tomblyn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Greaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Huttonsville-Mill Creek Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
