Richard H. Zetah
Richard H. Zetah, 83, of Maysville, and formerly of Renville,
Minn., died Sunday, July 29, 2007, at his residence in Maysville.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 at Schaeffer Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic
Church with Father Giles LeVasseur officiating. Interment will follow in
Maysville Cemetery at Maysville. Schaeffer Funeral Home services. From 30

Jerry Z. Zickefoose
Jerry Z. Zickefoose, 82, of the Queens community, died Friday,
Jan. 26, 2007, at his home in Queens.
He was born Aug. 24, 1924, a son of the late S. Law and Virgie L. Sloan
Zickefoose.
On Feb. 15, 1975, he was united in marriage to Jean Boone Zickefoose, who
resides at Queens.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four brothers, David L. Zickefoose of
Claysville, Pa., Arthur C. Zickefoose of Virginia Beach, Va., Paul L. Zickefoose
of Elkins and Amal Q. Zickefoose of Buckhannon; two sisters, Zita H. Lee of
Buckhannon and Donna L. Boone of Bera, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; in his
heart, he is survived by one grandson, Brent W. Tenney of Queens; one
granddaughter, Clefta L. Tenney of Queens; and one great-grandson, Clay Tenney
of Queens.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Denver Rex Zickefoose, Arnold Joe
Zickefoose and Hayward Zickefoose; and two nephews, P.J. Zickefoose and Kenny
Lee.
At the request of Mr. Zickefoose, his body was cremated. Graveside services will
be at a later date. Heavner & Cutright Funeral chapel is in charge of the

Kelcel V. Zickefoose
Kelcel V. Zickefoose, 83, a resident of Warren, Ohio, died
Friday, June 29, 2007, at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio.
He was born June 12, 1924, at Alton, a son of the late Stark and Treva Hunt
Zickefoose.
Mr. Zickefoose was married to the former Lois M. Reger on April 14, 1945. She
preceded him in death on June 5, 2007.
Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia and husband, Daniel Liechty, Hobart, Ind.,
and Marsha Maddux, Clarksburg; three grandchildren, Carrie Liechty,
Indianapolis, Ind., Rebecca and husband, Chris Wilson, Dayton, Tenn., and
Kenneth and wife, Megan Liechty, Lafayette, Ind.; two great-grandchildren, David
Evan Horton and Christian Horton, both of Dayton, Tenn.; one brother, Jennings
Zickefoose, Buckhannon; and one sister, Virginia Harman, Warren, Ohio.
Mr. Zickefoose worked for American Welding for 26 years, retiring in 1986.
He was a charter member of the Cortland Trinity Baptist Church and was a current
member of the Calvary Bible Church in Warren, Ohio.
Mr. Zickefoose served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School and enjoyed stamp and coin
collecting.
Friends will be received at the Tomblyn-Whitescarver Funeral Chapel in
Buckhannon from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 2. A graveside service will be at
11 a.m. Tuesday at the Pleasant Dale Cemetery at Selbyville.

Kelcel V. Zickefoose
Kelcel V. Zickefoose, 83, a resident of Warren, Ohio, died

Lois M. Zickefoose
Lois M. Zickefoose, 81, of Warren, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 5,
2007, in Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio.
She was born May 19, 1926, at Alexander, a daughter of the late Arthur and Madge
Moore Reger.
Surviving are her spouse, Kelcel Zickefoose of Warren, Ohio, whom she married
April 14, 1945; two daughters, Cynthia and husband, Daniel Liechty, of Hobart,
Ind., and Marsha Maddux of Clarksburg; three grandchildren, Carrie Liechty of
Indianapolis, Ind., Rebecca and husband, Chris Wilson, of Dayton, Tenn., and
Kenneth and wife, Megan Liechty, of Lafayette, Ind.; one great-grandson, David
Evan Horton of Dayton, Tenn.; and one great-granddaughter, Christian Horton of
Dayton, Tenn.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Ralph Eugene and Russell
Lee Reger; and one sister, Pearl Shingleton.
Mrs. Zickefoose was a Buckhannon-Upshur High School graduate and a Youngstown
State University graduate and attended West Virginia Wesleyan College. She
taught in the West Virginia and Trumbull County elementary school districts. She
was a charter member of Cortland Trinity Baptist Church. She now belongs to the
Calvary Bible Church in Warren, Ohio. She was a member of the Northeast Ohio
Teachers Association and she enjoyed sewing, reading and church activities.
Viewing will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Tomblyn-Whitescarver Funeral

Margaret R. Zickefoose
Margaret R. “Chub” Zickefoose, 78, of Buckhannon, the
Hickory Flat community, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, at her home under the care
of United Hospital Center Hospice.
She was born July 26, 1929, at Etna, a daughter of the late George Harrison and
Dove Hosaflook Phipps.
Surviving are her husband, Jennings Zickefoose, who she married Jan. 11, 1947; a
son, Rick Zickefoose and wife, Jeanne, of Buckhannon; a daughter, Shelia
Zickefoose Gordon of Buckhannon; three grandchildren, Kelley, Dusty and C.J.; a
brother, Wade Phipps of Buckhannon; a special cousin, Wilma Burkhart of
Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were one daughter, Carol Joyce Zickefoose; three
brothers; and three sisters.
She was a homemaker and had cooked for the Upshur County Board of Education for
24 years. She was a member of Upshur County Association of Retired School
Employees and enjoyed attending auctions and collecting chickens and roosters.
The viewing will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Tomblyn-Whitescarver Funeral
Chapel. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at the funeral
home chapel with the Rev. Donald Butcher and Pastor David Jesse officiating.
Interment will follow in Indian Camp Cemetery. Tomblyn-Whitescarver Funeral
Chapel is in charge of the arrangements for Margaret R. “Chub” Zickefoose.

Theodore Zickefoose
Theodore Ray “Ted” Zickefoose, 77, of Buckhannon, died
Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, at the United Hospital Center at Clarksburg.
He was born Aug. 21, 1930, at Hemlock, a son of the late Cecil H. Zickefoose and
Gladys Garlow Zickefoose. Surviving are three sons, Randall R. Zickefoose and
wife, Pamela, of Buckhannon, Steven K. Zickefoose of Apple Creek, Ohio, and
David L. Zickefoose and wife, Teresa, of Wilmington, N.C.; two daughters, Pamela
G. Woody and husband, Timothy, of Buckhannon and Elizabeth A. Zickefoose of
Vernal, Utah; four grandsons, Christopher R. Zickefoose and wife, Beverly, of
Buckhannon, Matthew K. Woody and Daniel K. Woody, both of Buckhannon and Michael
P. Zickefoose of Raleigh, N.C.; four granddaughters, Sarah E. Woody of
Buckhannon, Katherine L. Bumgardner and husband, Rusty, of Volga, Shannon L.
Zickefoose of Wilmington, N.C., and Jennifer L. Zickefoose of Ohio; three
great-grandsons, Ryan R. Zickefoose and Christopher R. Zickefoose Jr., both of
Buckhannon, Dominick A. Oliverio of Buckhannon; a great-granddaughter, Sanya
Zickefoose of Buckhannon; his companion, Jean Kegley and family; one brother,
Howard Zickefoose and wife, Linda, of Mill Creek; one sister, Elaine Russell and
husband, John, of Mill Creek; one niece, Stephanie Zickefoose of Mill Creek; and
one nephew, Paul Zickefoose of Mill Creek.
He was a service rigg operator for Alamco Inc. and worked as courier for
Progressive Bank. He was a member of the Memorial Mission Church in Mill Creek.
Friends will be received today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair
Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at the
funeral home with the Rev. Frank Long officiating. Interment will follow at the

Nellie G. Zirkle
Nellie Gay Zirkle, 93, of Volga, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 5, 2007, in
Talbott Personal Care Home, Belington, following an extended illness.
She was born Nov. 17, 1914, at Hall, Barbour County, a daughter of the late
Philip Sheridan “Matt” and Dora (Bryan) Zirkle.
On Oct. 10, 1934, she was married to Elmer Clarence Zirkle, who preceded her in
death on Dec. 9, 1975.
Survivors include two sons, Theodore James and wife, Dorothy Zirkle, of Volga
and Delbert Scott and wife, Shirley Zirkle, of Lakeland, Ga.; three daughters,
Mrs. Tommy (Katheryn “Kathy”) Murphy and Mrs. Carl (Mabel) Campbell and
friend, Gene Karickhoff, all of Volga and Mrs. Russell (Betty) Burr, of Sebring,
Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Gregory (Mabel) Smith, in North Carolina; 12
grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Aubrey Zirkle and Linwood Donald
Zirkle; by two sisters, Kathleen Harris and Doris Renaldi; by three brothers,
Clifford Booth, Archie Booth and Jesse Booth; by three grandchildren; and by a
special friend, Jerald McCauley.
Mrs. Zirkle was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of Mt. Hebron United
Methodist Church. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, canning and
quilting. She was a loving mother, friend and neighbor.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, from Stemple
& Forman Funeral Home, 385 S. Main St., Philippi. The Rev. David Brown and
the Rev. Randy Simms will officiate and interment will follow in Mt. Hebron
Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday and from
9 a.m.. until 2 p.m. on Saturday. Stemple & Forman Funeral Home is entrusted
