Bennie Queen, 63, of Cass, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Lee Queen, 72, of Bartow, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at his home.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale. Elsie M. Queen

Elsie M. Queen, 84, of Volga, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at her home.

She was born April 3, 1923, at Huntsville, Ala., a daughter of the late Walter and Mary Hess Fanning.

On Feb. 27, 1943, she married Junior Earl Queen, who preceded her in death June 29, 1982.

Mrs. Queen is survived by three sons, Earl W. Queen of Volga, Roger A. Queen of Weston and John M. Queen of Martinsburg, two daughters, Sharon Smith and husband, Homer, of Union City, Ind., and Joyce Amos of Reynoldsville; five granddaughters, Sharlyn Hickey and husband, Bill, of Union City, Ind., Jennifer Jones and husband, Scott, of Union City, Ind., Crystal Ramey of Winston-Salem, N.C., Ronda Queen of Buckhannon and Angela Coontz of Philippi; four grandsons, Jeffery Dean and wife, Kristy, of Warren, Maine, Joshua Dean of Clarksburg, Christopher Queen of Philippi and Mark Queen and wife, Stephanie, of Tazewell, Va.; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Herbert Fanning of Huntsville, Ala.; two sisters, Lois Davis of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Gladys Tipton of Huntsville, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son-in-law, George M. Amos III; one sister, Mary Frances Wright; and two brothers, Walter Fanning Jr. and Jimmy Fanning.

She was a devout Christian by faith and a cook for the Upshur County Board of Education. Mrs. Queen was a very giving person who always remembered birthdays. She was loved by everyone and will be missed by all. She was loved by the children at Hodgesville Grade School. She retired as a cook with 30-plus years of service.

Friends will be received from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Jon Hayes officiating. Norma L. Queen

Norma Lee Queen, 68, of Buckhannon died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at the home of her sister, Anna Scott, at Ireland.

She was born Aug. 22, 1938, at Stumptown, a daughter of the late Wesley Newton and Frona Gay Parson Sommerville.

She was married to William Ray Queen, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sons, Stephen Ray Queen and Monty Jack Queen, both of Buckhannon and Joseph Roger Queen of Utah; two daughters, Charlene Rae Tenney of Buckhannon and Serena Grace Delbridge of Mannington; 13 grandchildren; and two sisters, Anna Mae Scott of Ireland and Loretta Landis of Buckhannon.

She was a homemaker and Baptist by faith.

Viewing will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Tomblyn-Whitescarver Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the funeral home with the Rev. Beryl Mckisic officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Union Cemetery. Tomblyn-Whitescarver Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.  From 13 Aug 2007.

Mary Louise Fisher Quick, 95, a former resident of Guy Street, Elkins and more recently a resident of Nella’s Nursing Home, Crystal Springs, departed this life Sunday morning, May 6, 2007, in the nursing home.

Mary L. Quick

Mary Louise Fisher Quick, 95, a former resident of Guy Street, Elkins, and more recently a resident of Nella’s Nursing Home at Crystal Springs, departed this life Sunday morning, May 6, 2007, at the nursing home.

She was born Thursday, May 2, 1912, at Elkins, a daughter of the late Harry S. Fisher and Adella Johnson Fisher.

On Dec. 31, 1954, she was married to William Hugh Quick, who preceded her in death July 16, 1974.

Surviving are a very special niece, Janet Sue Taylor Isner of Elkins; special friends and caregivers, Alice and Wally Cornell of Boca Raton, Fla.; and other special friends, Jim and Ann Hickman Heater of Gassaway, Janet Hinzman and family of Elkins and Jerry Schoonover and Robin Osmond and family.

She was an avid dog lover and cared for her five special dogs, Ragmop, Puddles, Patches, Noel and Precious Angel.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceding her in death was one sister, Lula Grace Fisher Taylor.

Mary Louise attended the schools of Elkins, was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1930, and was a graduate of Davis & Elkins College with the class of 1934 where she was a former member of Chi Omega Sorority. She was an educator, having taught in the Randolph County schools for 12 years. She was a member of Elkins-Randolph County Senior Center, Randolph County Retired School Employees, First United Methodist Church and Randolph Chapter 74, Order of the Eastern Star, having received her 50-year pin in 1980.

The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins Thursday, May 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the funeral hour. The Rev. Dr. Ellis E.
