Dora L. Quattro
Dora Lea Quattro, 82, of Davis, passed away Friday, June 9, 2006, in
Garrett County Memorial Hospital at Oakland, Md.
She was born April 26, 1924, at Davis, a daughter of the late Leo William and
Jesse Agness Whitehair Lahman.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest A. Quattro Sr. of Davis; three sons,
James R. and Mary Quattro of Elizabeth City, N.C., Earnest A. Quattro Jr. of
Summersville and Robert A. and Barbara Quattro of Davis; two brothers, Glen
Lahman of Wyandott, Mich., and Harold Lahman of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters,
Mary Hall and Helen Putz, both of Wyandott, Mich.; seven grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Mrs. Quattro was a housewife. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 936
Auxiliary, Davis Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and the Ladies Guild of St.
Veronica Parish.
At the request of the deceased, her remain were cremated. Friends will be
received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at Hinkle Funeral Home in
Davis. Memorial donations may be made, in her name, to Cortland Acres Nursing
Home, HC 60, Box 98, Thomas, W.Va. 26292. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of

Alvin T. Queen Sr.
Alvin T. Queen Sr., 88, a resident of Buckhannon, died, Sunday, March
19, 2006, in Nella’s Nursing Home at Crystal Springs.
He was born May 23, 1917, at Upper Pecks Run, a son of the late Oda Alvin Queen
and Grace Crislip Queen.
On June 11, 1935, he was united in marriage to Oleva Pearl Rohr Queen, who
preceded him in death April 18, 1988.
Surviving are five sons, Alvin Teal Queen Jr. and wife, Jean, of Brandy Station,
Va., Thomas Edward Queen and wife, Myrna, of Nokesville, Va., Benjamin Turner
Queen of Buckhannon, Charles Theodore Queen of Manassas, Va., and Robert
Terrance Queen of Front Royal, Va.; two daughters, Renna Glee Poling and
husband, Archie, of Buckhannon and Nancy Elaine Berard and husband, Alan, of
Manassas, Va; one brother-in-law, Archie White of Buckhannon; 25 grandchildren
and 27 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were one son, Kyle Ledford Queen; one daughter, Mary
Jane Hunt; four brothers, four sisters; and two grandson, Alvin Teal Queen III
and Sherman Lee Criss III.
He was a farmer and construction superintendent for J.F. Allen Co. He attended
Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and was a member of Franklin Lodge 7 A.F. &
A.M. and Buckhannon Moose Lodge 598.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday at Poling-St. Clair
Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 23, at the
funeral home with the Rev. Billee Scott Mick officiating. Interment will follow
in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery at Volga. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge

Howard B. Queen
Howard B. Queen, 89, a resident of Buckhannon, died Friday, Sept. 22,
2006, in Holbrook’s Nursing Home at Buckhannon.
He was born Feb. 5, 1917, at Bridge Run, a son of the late Oscar Bruce Queen and
Effie Ruth Lawson Queen.
On Jan. 5, 1938, he married Virginia Smarr Queen, who preceded him in death May
19, 2001.
Surviving are one daughter, Naomi Ruth Mathew of Smithville, Ohio; four
grandsons, Kevin Howard Mathew of Buckhannon, James Keith Mathew of Shreve,
Ohio, Jerry Lynn Mathew of Lawrence, Ohio, and Shawn Patrick Mathew of
Smithville, Ohio; one granddaughter, Danita Cay Perales of Wooster, Ohio; 10
great-grandchildren, one stepgreat-granddaughter and eight
great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were one brother, Clifford Lee Queen; and three
sisters, Ireta Ruth Randolph, Mary Idress Davisson and Iris Loretta Queen.
He was a farmer and mechanic. He attended Lorentz United Methodist Church of
Lorentz and was a member of the Upshur County Farm Bureau.
Friends will be received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Sunday, Sept. 24, from
1 p.m. to 2 p.m., the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Lorentz Church
Cemetery at Lorentz. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the

Winnie M. Queen
Winnie Marie Queen, 69, a resident of Buckhannon, died Monday, March 13,
2006, in St. Joseph’s Hospital at Buckhannon.
She was born July 2, 1936, in Braxton County, a daughter of the late Clyde
Williams and Lucy Brown Williams.
On Oct. 12, 1982, she was united in marriage to James B. Queen, who survives at
Buckhannon.
Also surviving are five sons, Kenneth Roby of Buckhannon, Arnel Roby and wife,
Joan, of Huntsburg, Ohio, Richard Roby of Buckhannon, James Lee Queen Bailey and
Kenneth Allen Queen Bailey, both of Baltimore, Md.; four daughters, Marie Bond
and husband, Ford, of Frenchton, Patricia Wolfe and husband, Robert, of
Buckhannon, Loretta Mooney and husband, Daniel, of West Farmington, Ohio, and
Vickie Roby of Middlefield, Ohio; four brothers, Carl Williams of Buckhannon,
Cecil Williams of Jerry’s Run, Archie Williams of Cleveland and Frankie
Williams of Hacker Valley; two sisters, Ruby Helmick of Buckhannon and Frances
Williams of Diana; 19 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild.
Also preceding her in death were her first husband, Gail Roby; one son, Earl
Roby; and one grandson, Brian Bailey.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Poling-St. Clair
Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 17, at the
funeral home. Interment will follow in Big Bend Church Cemetery at Sago.

Zola G. Queen
Zola Geraldine Queen, 90, a resident of Buckhannon, died at 9:10 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, in New Hope Room & Board at Buckhannon.
She was born Dec. 3, 1915, at Charity Fork, a daughter of the late Sherman
Karickhoff and Anna Lee Douglas Karickhoff.
On March 2, 1935, she was married to David Kyle Queen, who preceded her in death
July 9, 1999.
Surviving are one son, Leo Gene Queen and wife, Dawn, of Buckhannon; one
grandson, Michael Allen Queen and wife, Amy, of Buckhannon; one granddaughter,
Debora (Queen) Miller of Buckhannon; one great-grandson, Travis Miller and wife,
Kathleen, of Buckhannon; and two great-granddaughters, Leslie Reese and husband,
James, of Petersburg, Va., and Maggie Queen of Buckhannon.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, David Waid Queen; three brothers,
Myrle Karickhoff, Carroll Karickhoff and Brennie Karickhoff; and two sisters,
Marie Queen and Georgia Harris.
She was a homemaker and attended Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Poling-St. Clair Funeral
Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, at the funeral home
with the Rev. Steve Bowser officiating. Interment will follow in Heavner
Cemetery at Buckhannon. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the
