Helen C. Idleman
Helen Cosner Idleman, 76, of Petersburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland, Md.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at Otterbein United Methodist Church.   From 20 Oct 2004.

Sarah Iman
Sarah Shirk Iman, 89, of Glen Burnie, Md., and formerly of Petersburg, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at the home of her daughter, Jeanette Shirk Hyre.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Petersburg Church of God with Bishop Aaron A. Davidson and Bishop Ernest C. Pennington officiating. Frances E. Ireland
Frances E. “Frankie” Ireland, 64, of Route 4, Box 646, Buckhannon, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.
She was born Feb. 4, 1940, in Buckhannon, the daughter of the late Page Bias and Virginia Douglas Bias.
On Sept. 22, 1962, she was married to Robert Ireland, who survives.
Surviving are one son, John Ireland of Buckhannon; one daughter, Jennifer Ireland Beer of Buckhannon; one brother, Bill Bias of Keyser; two sisters, Jackie Porter of Milton and Barbara Arrington of Charlotte, Mich.; one grandson, Ethan Beer of Buckhannon; and one granddaughter, Erin Beer of Buckhannon.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Joan Bias.
She was a registered nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital and was a Protestant by faith.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Robert Poling and the Rev. Dr. Charles Godwin will officiate and interment will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park.  From 30 Mar 2004.

Louise Irons
Louise Watson Irons, 91, a resident of Parsons, departed this life early Saturday morning, Oct. 9, 2004, at the home of her son, Grover Alfred Watson Jr. She had been in declining health.
She was born Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1913, at Layland, the daughter of the late Henry Higginbothan and Mae Moses.
She was twice married, first to Grover Alfred Watson, who preceded her in death on June 24, 1983, and second to Willard Irons, who preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2003.
Surviving are six sons, James “Jimmy” Edward Watson and wife, Sylvia, of Oak Hill, Grover Alfred Watson Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Parsons, Paul Burton Watson and wife, Louise, of Centerville, Md., John “Johnny” Henry Watson and wife, Diane, and Charles Kent Watson and wife, Sharon, all of St. Albans, Robert Donald Watson and wife, Peggy, of Baltimore, Md.; two daughters, “Flora Mae” Evans and husband, Jim, of Baltimore, Md., and Betty Jean Phillips of Elkins; two brothers, Lewis Higginbothan of Coal City, and Robert Higginbothan of Oak Hill; three sisters, Clara Harrah of Beckley, Arbutus Bailies of Dane se and Wilda Esque of St. Albans; and several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were five brothers, Johnny, Clark, Lawrence, Jesse and Lorren Higginbothan; three sisters, Hilda Ritter, Lorean and Hattie Higginbothan; and two great-grandchildren.
She attended the schools of Fayette County. She was a member of the Riverview Chapel Church at Porterwood. She was a homemaker.

Virginia C. Irons
Virginia Alberta Canfield Irons, 92, a former resident of 311 Goff St., Elkins, and more recently a resident of Talbott’s Personal Care Home in Belington, departed this life early Wednesday morning, April 21, 2004, at the nursing home.
She was born Monday, May 22, 1911, at Pheasant Run, the daughter of the late Fredrick Clark Canfield and Iva Blanch Hartsaw Canfield.
On Oct. 5, 1933, at Pheasant Run, she was married to Orville Clare Irons, who preceded her in death on May 12, 1989.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband were three brothers, Elmer Canfield and two infants; and one sister, Irene Ice.
She attended the schools of Randolph and Tucker counties, was a graduate of Parsons High School with the class of 1930 and attended Fairmont State College.
She was a school teacher in Tucker County for three years, was a substitute teacher in Randolph County and worked for Montgomery Ward for 20 years, retiring in 1974.
She was a member of the Womens’ Christian Temperance Union, the Randolph County Senior Center and the Irons Chapel United Methodist Church. She attended the Elkins Church of the Brethren and Otterbein United Methodist Church, where she was a charter member of the WSCS of the church.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the funeral hour. The Rev. Donald L. Lockhart and Pastor Alvin Irons will officiate and interment will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery at Elkins. Margaret K. Isch, 86, a resident of Pickens and a patient in the Good Samaritan Center at Belington, passed away Monday morning, June 7, 2004, in the center.

Margaret K. Isch
Margaret K. Isch, 86, a resident of Helvetia and a patient in the Good Samaritan Center at Belington, passed away Monday morning, June 7, 2004, in the center.
She was born April 15, 1918, at Pickens, the daughter of the late Edwin L. and Elizabeth Rohner Egleson.
On July 27, 1940, in Monterey, Va., she was married to Ernest Lawrence Isch, who preceded her in death.
Surviving her are one daughter, Elaine Louise Isch, a resident of Talbott Personal Care Home in Belington; one niece and one nephew; and a special friend, Louise Malcomb.
Mrs. Isch was a graduate of Pickens High School and was a homemaker. She was a supporter of many activities in the Helvetia and Pickens communities and was involved in the historical heritage of both communities.
She was a member of the Zion Presbyterian Church at Helvetia and served as an elder of the church.
She was a 50-year member of the former Helvetia Farm Women’s Club.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mt. State Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Chuck Vorderberg officiating. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rudolph Zumbach Memorial Fund for the maintenance of the Helvetia Chimes, HC 70, Box 2, Helvetia, W.Va. 26224 in memory of Mrs. Isch. Cecil Isner Sr.
Cecil Isner Sr, a resident of the Beverly Road, Elkins, passed away Monday evening, Dec. 6, 2004, at Swishers Personal Care Home in Elkins.

Cecil Isner Sr.
Cecil Isner Sr., 91, a resident of the Beverly Road, Elkins, passed away Monday evening, Dec. 6, 2004, at Swishers Private Care Home in Elkins.
He was born Nov. 7, 1913 in Randolph County, a son of the late Bernard and Ella Adams Isner.
He was married to Willa Brown Isner, who preceded him in death in September 2001.
Surviving are two sons, Cecil Isner Jr. and wife, Carol, of Beverly and Glen Bernard Isner of Valley Bend; a daughter, Ella Grace McLaughlin and husband, Tom, of Elkins; one brother, Don Isner of Scott Depot; and four grandchildren, Dennis, Lori, Kathy and Brad.
Also preceding him in death were a brother, Clyde Isner; and two sisters, Helen Poe and Mary Isner.
Mr. Isner was employed as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for many years, having retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways. He was an avid bowler, fisherman and hunter and was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church.
Friends may call from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Leon H. Hevener officiating. Interment will follow in the Brown Family Cemetery near Monterville. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Cecil Isner Sr.  From 8 Dec 2004.

A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. today at Wayside United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Baer officiating. Donald Isenhart
Donald “Duck” Isenhart, 62, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, following a long illness.
Mr. Isenhart was born in Beverly and moved to the Akron, Ohio, area on June, 7, 1964, where he spent most of his life. Donald served four years in the U.S. Navy, after which he served in the U.S. Naval Reserve, retiring in 1998.
Mr. Isenhart was an elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was received into the Temple of God in Columbus.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and he will be dearly missed.
Mr. Isenhart was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Georgia Isenhart; and one brother, Henry Isenhart.
Surviving is his loving wife of 40 years, Evelyn Isenhart; four daughters, Donna Searls and husband, Edward, Sandra Bennett and husband, Richard, Mary Ellen Isenhart, and Rebecca McAlick and husband, David; one son, Nicholas Isenhart; two sisters, Jo Ann Barkley and husband, Bob, of Jimtown and Ruby Healy and husband, Leon, of Elkins; five brothers, Johnny Isenhart and wife, Betty, of Elkins, Emery Isenhart of Belington, David Isenhart and wife, Connie, of Virginia, Tony Isenhart and wife, Barbara, and Gary Isenhart, all of Belington.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Elkins. The Rev. Bishop Lynn Muhlestein and elders will officiate. After the service, a covered-dish dinner will be at the church. The F.E. Runner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Donald “Duck” Isenhart.  From 12 Mar 2004.

Irvin Guy Isner, 82, a resident of Elkins, passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, in Davis Memorial Hospital.

Ruth Curtis Isner
Ruth Evelyn Curtis Isner, 97, a resident of Montrose and more recently a resident of the Cortland Acres Nursing Home at Thomas, departed this life early Tuesday morning, Sept. 28, 2004, at the nursing home. She had been in declining health.
She was born Friday, July 12, 1907, at Montrose, the daughter of the late Joseph W. Curtis and Talitha Ferguson Curtis.
On Aug. 12, 1926, at Parsons, she was married to George R. Isner, who preceded her in death during 1955.
Surviving are four grandchildren, Wilford C. Isner Jr., Rodney and Danny True and Paula Esser; and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband were one son, Wilford Curtis Isner; one daughter, Vonda Ruth True; two brothers, Calvin and Clyde Curtis; and one grandson, Kevin True.
She attended the elementary schools of Randolph County and was a graduate of Parsons High School. She was a homemaker and a self-employed seamstress in Elkins for several years. She then decided to reside with her daughter in the Chicago area from 1963 until 1976, at which time she returned to Montrose.
She was a member of the homemakers club and the Mercy Chapel United Methodist Church at Montrose. She enjoyed needlepointing and crocheting.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the funeral hour. Elder Velden B. Linn will officiate and interment will follow at the Elkins Memorial Gardens, formerly the IOOF Cemetery, at Elkins.
