Gary M. Yeager
Gary Michael Yeager, 54, of St. Albans, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston, after a sudden illness.
He was a financial advisor for John Babalist LLC, affiliate of Raymond James. He was a member of Kanawha Masonic Lodge No. 20 AF&AM, Scottish Rite Bodies, Beni Kedem Shrine, Charleston, and also a member of Nitro Moose Lodge No. 565 and Moose Legion No. 123, Kanawha Valley. He attended Fairmont State College and was a graduate of Alderson-Broaddus College in 1971.
Surviving are his wife, Stella Sacco Yeager; two sons, Raymond Blust, Jeffersonville, Ind., and Eric Yeager, at home; his parents, Milford and Ida Mae Carpenter Yeager, St. Albans; and a granddaughter, Paige Blust.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Joel M. Harpold officiating. Their will also be an additional visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Schoonover-Stemple Funeral Chapel, Belington and funeral services Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Belington Fraternal Cemetery, Belington, with Masonic graveside rites. Lorene Yokum
Lorene Yokum, a resident of Huttonsville, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at 6:30 p.m., in Davis Memorial Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and under the direction of F.E. Runner Funeral Home. From 26 Nov 2002.

Lorene Yokum
Lorene Yokum, 68, a resident of Huttonsville, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, at 6:50 p.m., in Davis Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Monday. She had been in failing health for the past two months.
She was born Nov. 14, 1934, in Philippi, a daughter of the late Russell "Peg" and Elva Shaffer Shaham
On Sept. 16, 1988, she was united in marriage to George Yokum, who survives in Huttonsville.
Also surviving are two daughters, Juanita Isenhart and husband, David, of Huttonsville, and Connie Yokum of St. Albans; four grandchildren, Lorene Renee Martin of Virginia Beach, Va., Donnie George Mullenex of Whitmer, Joshua Mullenex of Huttonsville, and Brenna Yokum of St. Albans; and one sister, Sylvia Haden of Mill Creek; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death besides her parents were two sisters, Elyonda Streets and Geraldine Harvey; and two brothers, Aldean Shahan and Dearise Lee Shahan.
She was an in-home caretaker for the past 16 years for Judy Taylor and a member of the Light of the Valley Church in Mill Creek.
Friends will be received at F.E. Runner Funeral Home Friday after 6 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted from the Runner Chapel Saturday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Norma Gibson, pastor of the Light of the Valley Church will officiate. Interment will follow at Brick Church Cemetery. The F.E. Runner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Lorene Yokum. Norma J. Yokum
Norma Jean Yokum, 62, of Petersburg, died Monday, April 1, 2002, at her residence in Petersburg.
Friends will be received at Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Phillips and Pastor Craig Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Yokum Family Cemetery in Petersburg. From 3 Apr 2002.

Clifford J. Young
Clifford J. Young, 83, of 47 N. Florida St., Buckhannon, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, in his home in Buckhannon.
Mr. Young was born Sept. 25, 1918, in Washington, D.C., a son of the late Harry Young and the late Elizabeth Perveiler Young Kimphlin.
On May 8, 1937, he married Eleanor P. Stance Young, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Thomas J. Young, French Creek; an adopted son, Ricky Young, Stevens Point, Wis.; three daughters, Darlene Young, Omro, Wis., Bonnie Hill, Coloma, Wis., and Becky Bailey, Crystal Lake, Ill.; three grandsons, Robert, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Johnny and Tommy, both of Omro, Wis.; three granddaughters, Laura Ann, Hancock, Wis., Christine, Coloma, Wis., and Peggy, Omro, Wis.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Young was a newspaper pressman for the Chicago Tribune. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Illinois. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Phillipines. He attended Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Interment was held in Hancock Cemetery in Hancock, Wis. Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Carrie L. Young
Carrie L. Young, 91, a resident of 180 Walbash Ave., Buckhannon, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at Davis Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 26, 1911, at Gaines, the daughter of the late George and Rella Lee Davidson.
On Aug. 5, 1931, she was married to Sidney Young, who preceded him in death on March 7, 1987.
Surviving are two daughters, Sheila Cogar and Kay Brady, both of Buckhannon; three sons, Stillman Young, Hamilton, Ohio, and George Young, Rock Cave, and John Allen Young, Industry, Pa.; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were one daughter, Gladys Hyre; one son, Earnest Jack Young; one brother, Charlie Davidson; and two sisters, Hettie Burnside and Jessie Fidler.
Mrs. Young was a homemaker and a member of Rock Cave Chapter 82 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church.
Friends were received from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home where Rock Cave Chapter 82 Order of the Eastern Star held memorial services at 8 p.m. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. today at the Salem United Methodist Church. The Rev. David Bickel officiated and interment followed in the Salem Ridge Church Cemetery at Rock Cave. From 4 Nov 2002.

Martha N. Young
Martha "Pauline" Nay Young, 72, of Route 3, Elkins, died at 2:13 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, in Davis Memorial Hospital. She had been in declining health for the past 20 years and death was attributed to respiratory disease.
Mrs. Young was born April 25, 1929, in Harding, a daughter of the late Alfred Detroit Nay and Ruby Wilson Nay.
On June 18, 1947, in Junior, she married Hayward Joseph Young, who preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1982.
Surviving are a son, Charles Edward Young, Elkins; four daughters, Linda L. Gordon and husband, Donald, Elkins, Patty A. Young, Elkins, Loretta Jenkins, Lucasville, Ohio, and Lanette Arbogast and husband, George, Elkins; two brothers, Joseph Edward Nay, South Carolina, and John Robert Nay, North Carolina; three sisters, Jacquelyn Waina, California, Shirley Bohon, Gilman, and Anna Claire Koon, Grafton; seven grandchildren, a great-grandchild and nine nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Edward Joseph Young; a daughter, Patsy Jean Young; a brother, Alfred Detroit Nay Jr.; and three sisters, her twin Aileen Nay, Betty Jean Kelly and Charlotte Nay.
Mrs. Young was a homemaker. She attended the one-room school in Harding. She was a member of Elkins First Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Lohr-Barb-Vance Funeral Home today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Robert L. Baer officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman. From 26 Feb 2002.

Eulah D. Yount

Eulah Dorothy Simmons Tacy Hanna Yount, 96, a resident of Huttonsville for more than 70 years, departed this life at 3:10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2002, in Davis Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He had been a resident at Nella's Nursing Home since May of 2002.

She was born March 9, 1906, at Conley Run near Valley Head, a daughter of the late Valentine and Elverda Ware Simmons.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by six brothers, Harvey, Roy, Jesse, Conley, Frank and Bert Simmons; and four sisters, Nola Vandevender, Geneva Snyder, Nina Arbogast and Goldie Wamsley.

She attended the schools of Randolph County and was formerly employed as a cook at Don Bosco in Huttonsville. She also was a "cookie" at her brother-in-law's, Daris Vandevender, logging camp, where she met her first husband, Walter Tacy. They were married at the home of her late parents, Valentine and Elverda Ware Simmons, in Valley Head. On Feb. 4, 1948, Mr. Taylor was killed on Cheat Mountain while employed for the West Virginia Department of Highways. To this union were born her daughter, Gatewood Carr Godwin of Mill Creek, and two sons, Bill C. Tacy and wife, June, and Frank L. Tacy and wife, Gisela, all of Huttonsville.

On June 7, 1950, she married Julian Anton Hanna of Davis. He departed this life in 1967, leaving her with two stepchildren, the Rev. Julian A. Hanna and Mickey Hanna Johnson.

On Dec. 21, 1969, she was united in marriage to Dr. Glenn O. Yount of Hickory, N.C. He had served a minister of the Mill Creek and Tygart Valley Presbyterian Church for many years. She was survived by her stepchildren: two stepsons, the Rev. James Yount and wife, Betty, of Waynesboro, Va., and Bill Yount and wife, Mary Francis, of Florida; and three stepdaughters, Betty Mae and husband of Connecticut, Mary Francis Yount, and Rena Yount Dyer and husband, John. Dr. Yount departed this life in 1979.

Mrs. Yount is also survived by nine grandchildren, Stephen D. Carr and wife, Mary Rachel, Rodney Carr and wife, Charolette, Mickie Tacy and wife, Susan, Clarence Tacy, Randy Tacy and wife, Carol, Derrick Tacy and wife, Whitney, Dorothy Tacy and husband, David Tyson, Crystal Tacy and husband, Bruce Bolden and Susan Tacy and husband, Jim Miracle.

Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, several stepgrandchildren, several stepgreat-grandchildren, stepgreat-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Yount was a member of the Tygart Valley Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Huttonsville Rebekah Lodge, IOOF Lodge, and a past member of the Mill Creek and Huttonsville Extension Homemakers.

She loved everyone and told them so. Mrs. Yount will lie in state at F.E. Runner Funeral Home, who has served all her family in the past. Friends will be received after 6 p.m. Saturday at the Runner chapel. Funeral services will be conducted from the Runner chapel Sunday at 3 p.m. Dr. Robert J. Klein, pastor of the Mill Creek Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville. From 13 and 14 Sep 2002.
