Bonnie Sue Rager
Bonnie Sue Rager, 58, of Route 2, Grafton, Simpson Road, passed away Sunday June 30, 2002, at her residence.
She was born March 1, 1944, in Grafton, the daughter of the late Alfred and Leora Fry Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, Richard F. "Rich" Rager.
Also surviving are four children, Regina Rager Corrothers and spouse, Timothy, Tina Rager Wilfong, Trina Rager and friend, Mike Poling, and Lisa Rager Lantz, all of Long Run community, Grafton; five grandchildren, Brandon Rager, Travis Rager, Justin Lantz, Christopher Wilfong and Kelly Corrothers; one sister, Jo Ann Reed, Deer Park, Md.; three brothers, Frank Wilson, Grafton, Bill Wilson and wife, Georgie, Detroit, Mich., and Mike Wilson and spouse from Grafton; one brother-in-law, Harry Summers, Buckhannon; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Rager was preceded in death by four sisters, Connie Wilson Summers, Shirley Wilson Riffle, and two who died in infancy.
She was a housewife and an avid gardener, and was a Protestant by faith.
At her request she was cremated and a memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Long Run Freewill Baptist Church in Taylor County. Pastor David Maley will officiate. The Donald F. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton is in charge of the arrangements. From 1 Aug 2002.

Albert R. Raines
Albert Roy Raines, 82, of Riverton, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2002, at his residence.
Mr. Raines was born Feb. 2, 1919, in Riverton, a son of the late Ora Martin Raines and Mamie Catheryn Thompson.
He had never married.
Surviving are a sister, Gladys Lawrence, Riverton; a brother, Hubert Raines, Riverton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Berlin Raines, Paul Raines, Otis M. Raines and Owen J. Raines.
Mr. Raines retired after 40 years as a teacher from Pendleton County Schools. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
He attended Valley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Valley Chapel United Methodist Church today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the church Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Barbara Rexroad officiating. Interment will follow in North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton. Memorial donations may be made to Grant Memorial Hospice or Valley Chapel United Methodist Church. Clyde E. Raines Jr.
Clyde E. Raines Jr., 77, of Englewood, Fla., and formerly of Rosedale, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at Englewood Hospital, Englewood, Fla.
He was born Oct. 15, 1925, in Elkins, a son of the late Clyde Edward Raines Sr. and Ruth Markley Raines.
He was married to Ella Jane Stone Raines, who survives in Englewood, Fla.
Also surviving are four daughters, Valinda Scott of Mill Creek, Vickie Johnson of Ladson, S.C., Brenda Shiflett of Oakland, Md., and Janet Swiger of Flemington; four sons, Dale Raines, Ronnie Raines and Larry Raines, all of Mill Creek, and Jack Raines of Junior; two brothers, Roger Raines of Tennessee, and Sandy Raines of Arizona; two sisters, Georgette Wilson of Lakeland, Fla., and Louise Raines of Elkins; one stepdaughter, Patricia Kincaid of Baltimore, Md.; two stepsons, Warzena Brammer of Baltimore, Md., and Elder Barnabas Brammer of Hanover, Pa.; 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
He worked for Carrier Plumbing & Heating in maintenance.
Friends will be received at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, Md. Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Saturday at 10 a.m. with Elder Barnabas Brammer and Elder Elva Lowery officiating. Schyima N. Raines
Schyima N. Raines, 71, of 22512 Village Road, Unionville, Va., and formerly of Thornwood, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 2002, in Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins.
She was born Oct. 26, 1931, at Goodells, Mich., a daughter of the late Conrad Johannes Lump and Ollie Ellison Lump.
She was twice married. First, she married Virgil R. Lambert, who preceded her in death in 1972. Second, she married Berlie Raines, who preceded her in death on May 5, 1980.
Surviving are four sons, Steven Lomp and Kile Lambert, both of Mill Creek, Virgil L. Lambert, Valley Bend, and Harlan Lambert, Unionville, Va., with whom she lived; one brother, Richard Lump, Port Huron, Mich.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Raines was a homemaker. She was a Baptist by faith.
There will be no visitation or viewing. Graveside services will be at Lambert Cemetery at Elk Mountain near Cherry Grove Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Frank Stanley of Huttonsville officiating. Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin is in charge of the arrangements. From 18 Nov 2002.

Elizabeth P. Ramsey
Elizabeth Pollock Daugherty Ramsey, 88, of 225 Garnett St., Philippi, died early Sunday morning, June 23, 2002, at Davis Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness.
She was born on Dec. 6, 1913, in Grafton, a daughter of the late George Wellington and Ruth Pollock.
Her devoted husband of 17 years, James Ramsey, survives at home. She was the mother to son, Lee H. "Skip" Daugherty of Charleston; and daughter, Jane Daugherty of Arnold, Md.
Preceding her in death was her first husband, A. Lane Daugherty; and one brother, George Wellington Pollock Jr.
A teacher by profession, Mrs. Ramsey retired after 33 years of teaching. She began her teaching career at Bridgeport High School and retired in 1975 from Philip Barbour High School. A teacher of Latin and English, she was instrumental in the formation of the Junior Classical League of West Virginia, where her students won numerous state and national awards. She loved teaching and in 1960 she was named Barbour County Teacher of the Year. She is also listed in Community Leaders of America, Personalities of the South, Dictionary of International Biography and World Who’s Who of Women.
Professionally, she is a member of WVEA, ACT, National Council of Teachers of English, Classics Association of the Middle-West and South, and is a life member of NEA. She has served as president of the Barbour County Education Association, Barbour County Association of Classroom Teachers, the Mid-State Council of Teachers of English, and the Classics Section of WVEA. She is also a member of Lambda Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma teachers honorary.
She was a charter member of the Philippi Business and Professional Women’s Club and the Philippi PTA.
An active member of Crim United Methodist Church, Mrs. Ramsey has served on the official board, circle leader, Sunday school teacher and dean of Vacation Church School. She was awarded a life membership in the WSCS by the local society.
More recently, Mrs. Ramsey has served as assistant state director of West Virginia AARP, treasurer of the Barbour County Historical Society and as a member of the board of directors for the new Broaddus Hospital in Philippi. In her retirement years, she remained very active as a volunteer for many church and community activities.
A gifted seamstress, Mrs. Ramsey enjoyed traveling with her husband, reading, cats and entertaining friends.
Friends may call at Wright Funeral Home in Philippi from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. today or after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. A. Rapking officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. From 24 June 2002.

Genevieve V. Ramsey
Genevieve Virginia Oultram Ramsey, 89, of Route 2, the Valley Bend community near Belington, and more recently of Nella’s Nursing Care Facility in Elkins, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, in the nursing facility following a brief illness.
Mrs. Ramsey was born June 15, 1912, in McMechen, Marshall County, a daughter of the late Howard T. and Mable M. Hollen Bender.
On May 3, 1930, she married Oakey A. Ramsey, who preceded her in death in 1969.
Surviving are a son, Tommy Ramsey and wife, Donna, Route 2, Belington; a daughter, Janet Booth and husband, Harry, Fort St. John, Canada; seven grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Mrs. Ramsey attended the schools of Barbour County. She was a member of Hilltoppers Homemakers Club. She was retired from the Barbour County Board of Education, where she was employed as a cook.
She was a member of Valley Bend Baptist Church near Belington.

Opal M. Ramsey
Opal Mae George Ramsey, 80, of Valley Bend Road, Belington, died Monday evening, Feb. 4, 2002, at her home. She had been in declining health for quite some time.
Mrs. Ramsey was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Audra community near Belington, a daughter of the late Samuel and Zeta Allen George.
On June 26, 1938, in Belington, she married Brooks H. Ramsey, who preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1989.
Surviving are a son, Jerry D. Ramsey and wife, Dianna, Belington; a daughter, Donna Jean Jones and husband, Sidney, Belington; two grandsons, Kevin and Tinker Jones, both of Belington; two granddaughters, Crystal Moss and Brenda Bennett, both of Belington; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, and was preceded in death by all of her siblings.
Mrs. Ramsey attended Laurel Point School near the Audra community and Belington High School. She was a homemaker and formerly a cook at Yeager Restaurant for many years. She was also a member of Hilltoppers Homemakers Club. She was a member of Valley Bend Baptist Church near Belington.

Jerry Lee Ravis
Jerry Lee Ravis, 52, a resident of Route 1, Astor community, Flemington, was pronounced dead on arrival at 9:16 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, at the United Hospital Center emergency room.
He was born Sept. 27, 1950, at Grafton, the son of the late Steve Ravis and Lala Stevens Ravis Garlow.
Surviving are one brother and sister-in-law, Tom and wife, Jackie Ravis, Bridgeport; and one nephew, T.J. Ravis, Bridgeport.
Mr. Ravis was disabled.

Mable F. Ray, 81, a resident of Elkins, passed away Sunday evening, Aug. 25, 2002, in Nella’s Nursing Home at Crystal Springs.

Mabel F. Ray
Mabel F. Ray, 81, a former resident of Pleasant Avenue, Elkins, and a patient in Nella’s Nursing Home, passed away Sunday evening, Aug. 25, 2002, at the nursing home.
She was born Dec. 9, 1920, at Cleveland, a daughter of the late Andy and Blanche Ware Bacorn.
She was married to Ted Ray, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two stepsons, Lee Ray of Maryland, and Rob Ray of Middle Mountain.
Also preceding her in death were seven brothers, Odis, Dewey, Basil, Robert, Harley, Roy and Dale Bacorn; and three sisters, Nettie Parker, Dorothy Fansler and Lela Davis.
Mrs. Ray was a homemaker.

Jean J. Rearick
Jean J. Rearick, 65, of Ireland, and formerly of Harmony, Pa., died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, in Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler, Pa.
Mrs. Rearick was born Jan. 9, 1937, in Harmony, Pa., a daughter of the late LeRoy A. and Myrtle Isabella Goehring Lintz.
In June 1956, she married Howard D. Rearick, who survives in Ireland.
Also surviving are four sons, Daniel M. Rearick, Evans City, Pa., James T. Rearick, New Castle, Pa., David R. Rearick, North Augusta, S.C., and Dale R. Rearick, Baden, Pa.; three brothers, David L. Lintz, Butler, Pa., John W. Lintz, New Castle, Pa., and Gerald D. Lintz, Rochester, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. George (Darlene) Keul, Ellwood City, Pa., and Mrs. Charles (Sandra Lee) Butler, Pittsburgh, Pa.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Janet Lintz and Elizabeth Lintz.
Mrs. Rearick was a retired nurse’s aid in Evergreen Nursing Home. She was a Jehovah’s Witness.

James J. Redman, 94, of Petersburg, died Friday, June 14, 2002, at the Grant County Nursing Home where he had resided since June 9, 1993.

"Miss Emma" Grace Reed, 93, of Buckhannon, passed Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, at the home of her sister, Violet in Buckhannon.

Georgia B. Reed
Georgia B. Reed, 94, of Lorentz, died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.
She was born Dec. 16, 1907, in Lorentz, a daughter of the late George W. and Ella Wilson Bauserman.
She married Louis Carl Reed, who preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1988.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Neva Lee and Martin Jr. Snyder, Lorentz; one grandson, Terry Snyder and wife, Debbie, Bonita Springs, Fla.; and two great-granddaughters, Shawna Snyder, Lafayette, La., and Amy Lee Snyder, Bonita Springs, Fla.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Orville Bauserman.
Mrs. Reed was a homemaker. She was a Methodist by faith.

Gladas G. Reed
Gladas Grace "Pat" O’Bryon Reed, 94, of Meadowview Manor, Bridgeport, and formerly of Philippi and Clarksburg, died at 6:10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, in Meadowview Manor.
Mrs. Reed was born Aug. 24, 1907, in Terra Alta, a daughter of the late William Harrison and Laura Ellen Messenger O’Bryon.
On Nov. 27, 1935, in Terra Alta, she married Clee Odbert Reed, who preceded her in death on May 7, 1977.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol Sue Reed and husband, Leon Cox, Wellsburg; two sons, Kenneth Reed and wife, Amma and Joseph Reed and wife, Joann, all of Volga; two sisters, Marie Vignam Fairmont, and Faye Nally, Baltimore, Md.; a sister-in-law, Nellie McIntyre, Nutter Fort; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Odair and Howard O’Bryon; and a sister, Thelma O’Bryon Davis.
Mrs. Reed was a 1927 graduate of Terra Alta High School and a 1930 graduate of Mason U.P. Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a nurse at Mason U.P. Hospital and a school nurse for Harrison County Board of Education. She was a homemaker.
She was a charter member of Barbour County Sportsman’s Club, a member of the Red Cross and a member of Faithway Baptist Church.
Friends were received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, Sunday and today from noon until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, with Pastor Downing Gregory officiating. Interment followed in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Faithway Baptist Church, 620 Johnson Ave., Belington, W.Va. 26250.

George M. Reel Jr.
George M. Reel Jr., 80, a resident of Norwood, Pa., and formerly of Belington, departed this life Sunday, May 26, 2002, in Taylor Hospital at Ridley Park, Pa.
He was born April 28, 1922, at Suncrest, a son of the late George M. Reel Sr. and Alice Rhoades Reel.
Surviving are his wife, the former Wilda Kittle of Norwood, Pa.; four sons, Mike Reel of Belington, Larry Reel of Wallingford, Pa., Jim Reel of Boothwyn, Pa., and Charles Reel of Morton, Pa.; two daughters, Jackie Reel of Prospect Park, Pa., and Donna Fagone of Glen Mills, Pa.; one brother, Jack Reel of Grafton; one sister, Betty Price of Port Orange, Fla.; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Reel attended the schools of Canton, Ohio. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Marines in the South Pacific and Philippine campaigns. He worked at Boeing Vertol as a tube bender for more than 25 years retiring in 1987. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Talbott Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. from the funeral home parlor with the Rev. Timothy Rollins officiating. Interment will follow in the Fraternal Cemetery near Belington, where the presentation of the American Flag will be conducted by the American Legion Post 44 of Philippi. In lieu of flowers the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of contributions to the American Lung Association. From 30 May 2002.

Geraldine Reel
Geraldine Reel, 76, of Petersburg died Thursday, July 18, 2002 at her residence. Visitation will be Sunday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Schaeffer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg. From 20 July 2002.

Marshall J. Reger
Marshall Jacob Reger, 88, of Buckhannon, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, in Knights Personal Care Home in Buckhannon.
Mr. Reger was born July 15, 1913, in Volga, a son of the late Charles and Gertrude Zirkle Reger.
On Aug. 22, 1958, he married Lemoine Sue Booth Reger, who survives.
Also surviving is a brother, Denver Reger, Brushy Fork.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Reger; and a half sister, Gretta Reger.
Mr. Reger was a farmer and coal miner.
He served in the Army Air Force during World War II in North Africa.
He was a member of Buckhannon VFW Post 3663.

Robert H. Reger
Robert H. "Bob" Reger, a lifelong resident of Buckhannon, died Friday, July 26, 2002, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was the only child of the late Elvie R. and Mollie Lewis Reger, having been born May 3, 1912, and recently celebrated his 90th birthday with an open house hosted by his family. He was a descendant of a pioneer family in Central West Virginia, who came to this country in 1737.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwen Finlayson Reger, whom he married on Sept. 19, 1937; and one son, William L. Reger, who died in Vietnam on Nov. 8, 1969.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert H. Reger Jr. and Betsy, Vienna, John E. "Jack" Reger and Frani of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and James P. Reger of San Diego, Calif.; two grandsons, Michael Reger and Grayson Reger; and two granddaughters, Julie Scrignoli and Holly Reger.
Mr. Reger was a well known Central West Virginia wholesale businessman who retired in 1975. He was a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College. He was a former member and past president of the Buckhannon Lions Club, with 56 years of membership and many years of perfect attendance. He was a member of the Emeritus Club of Wesleyan and was a more than 60 year member of Franklin Lodge AF and AM in Buckhannon. He also belonged to the Scottish Rite Bodies of Clarksburg and Wheeling and Osiris Shrine Temple of Wheeling, Sons of the American Revolution and Hacker’s Creek Pioneer Descendants. He was a former long time member of the administrative board of the First United Methodist Church of Buckhannon, where he became a member in 1927. He was a World War II veteran, having served with the United States Army in Europe.
Friends will be received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Charles Godwin, the Rev. Billee Scott Mick and the Rev. Mark Flynn. Burial will follow in Heavner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Robert H., Gwen F. and William L. John K. Reid
John Keller Reid, 91, of Petersburg, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, at his residence.

Ione Gray Rexroad, 87, of Petersburg, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at her residence.

Lyle Clement Rexroad Sr., 78, of 148 S. Main St., Petersburg, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at the Veterans Medical Center in Martinsburg.

Beulah V. Reynolds
Beulah V. Reynolds, 85, of Parkersburg, passed away July 21, 2002, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 14, 1916, in Roane County, a daughter of the late Ruben R. and Nellie A. Sparr Pickens.
She was a teacher for 35 years working mostly for the Wood County Schools, and was a member of the West Virginia Teachers Association. She was also a member of the North Parkersburg Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Violet Reynolds of Clarksburg; five sisters, Beryl Conant of Liverpool, Madylone Anderson of Davisville, and Irene Jenkins, Frances Boone and Leona Moore, all of Parkersburg; and one brother, Eugene Pickens of West End, N.C.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lee Reynolds; one sister, Elizabeth Ann Johnson; and two brothers, Andrew and Arthur Pickens.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Kent Boon and the Rev. Bill Angel officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitations will be today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. From 23 July 2002.

Bethel Mae Rhodes, 87, of Glady, died at 9:17 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, in Davis Memorial Hospital. She had been in declining health and death was attributed to complications from diabetes.

Bethel M. Rhodes
Bethel Mae Vance Rhodes, 87, of Glady, died at 9:17 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2002, in Davis Memorial Hospital. She had been in declining health and death was attributed to complications from diabetes.
Mrs. Rhodes was born July 3, 1914, a daughter of the late Ira Vance and Ota Triplett Vance.
On Aug. 6, 1933, she married James Issac Rhodes, who survives in Glady. They had celebrated 68 years of marriage.
Also surviving are three sons, Edward Rhodes and wife, Evelyn, Bill Rhodes and wife, Linda, and Jerry Rhodes and wife, Sandy, all of Glady; four daughters, Bonnie Bodkins and husband, Lapel, Valley Head, Shirley Thompson, Beverly, Charlott Pennington and husband, George, Harman, and Barbara Lawrence and husband, James, Dry Fork; three brothers, Harold Vance, Orrville, Ohio, Charles Vance, Wooster, Ohio, and Herman Vance, Bowden; four sisters, Ethel Parncutt, Elkins, Betty Filuta, Orrville, Ohio, Audrey Armentrout, Rittman, Ohio, and Donna Mullholand, Walbridge, Ohio; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Issac Rhodes; five brothers, Ike, Donald, June, Harley and Howard Vance; and two sisters, Mary Kerens and Mable Race.
Mrs. Rhodes attended the two-room school in Glady. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the former home demonstration club of Glady.
She worked for the election board for many years in Glady and was a former member of the Parent Teacher Association in Glady. She was a member of Glady Church of the Brethren in Glady, where she played the organ and was a Sunday School teacher for many years.

Connie Rhodes
Connie Rhodes, 47, of Buckhannon, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.
Mrs. Rhodes was born Jan. 5, 1955, in Buckhannon, a daughter of Eugene and Maxine Lane Greene, who survive in Adrian.
On Aug. 7, 1983, she married Clinton Rhodes, who preceded her in death on March 22, 1993.
Surviving are a daughter, Suzanna Rhodes, Buckhannon; a sister, Patty Perrine, Buckhannon; a brother, Clark Greene, Holly Grove; a nephew and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by and adopted father and mother, Clark and Pauline Lane.
Mrs. Rhodes was the owner of Carousel Craft Shop on Brushy Fork Road. She was a Christian faith.

Emma Ellet Hamrick Rhodes, 86, a resident of Glady, and more recently a resident of Nella’s Incorporated at Crystal Springs, departed this life Sunday evening, Oct. 6, 2002, at the nursing home. Death was attributed to heart failure.
She was born April 5, 1916, at Bergoo, a daughter of the late Zettie Hamrick.
On March 18, 1939, at Elkins, she was married to Charles Oley Rhodes, who preceded her in death on May 24, 1970.
Surviving are six sons, Earl Rhodes, French Creek, Forrest Rhodes, Bryon, Ga., Willie Rhodes, Fairmont, Harry Rhodes, Pennsylvania, Ralph Rhodes, Ohio, and Ronald Rhodes, New York; three daughters, Alice "Tootie" Shiflett, Emma Jean Mussi and Rose Anna Rhodes; 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Georgia Lorraine Rhodes; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She attended the schools of Webster County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Glady Church of the Brethren.

James I. Rhodes
James Isaac "Jim" Rhodes, 90, a resident of Glady, departed this life at 11 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2002, at his home. He had been in declining health and death was attributed to respiratory disease.
He was born Jan. 4, 1912, at New York, N.Y., a son of the late Charles Olie Rhodes and Lena Waybright Rhodes. On Aug. 6, 1933, he was married to the former Bethel Mae Vance, who preceded him in death Jan. 14, 2002. They had celebrated 68 years of marriage.
He is survived by three sons, Edward Rhodes and wife, Evelyn, Bill Rhodes and wife, Linda, and Jerry Rhodes and wife, Sandy, all of Glady; four daughters, Bonnie Bodkins and husband, Lapel, Valley Head, Shirley Thompson, Beverly, Charlott Pennington and husband, George, Harman, and Barbara Lawrence and husband, James, Dry Fork; 10 brothers, Arthur, Everett, Charles, Raymond, Earl, Forrest, Willie, Harry, Ralph and Ronald Rhodes; eight sisters, Lou, Faye, Marie, Margie, Wretha, Irene Emmagean, and Roseanna; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Ira Rhodes, two brothers, McClellan and Lloyd, and two sisters, Donna and Retta.
He attended the schools of Randolph County, and was a coal miner, farmer and retired from Labcraft Corp. He was an avid outdoorsman, well known for his bear and turkey hunting and fishing. In 1998, he was inducted into the Turkey Hall of Fame. He was a member of the Glady Brethren Church.
Friends will be received at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel Monday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Ron Phillips will officiate and interment will follow at the Glady Cemetery at Glady. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to Hospice Care Corp., 629 North Ave., Elkins, W.Va. 26241. From 20 July 2002.

Robert E. Rhodes
Robert Earl "Bob" Rhodes, 62, of Seneca Rocks, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, in Grant County Nursing Home where he had resided since May 15, 1995.
Mr. Rhodes was born Sept. 3, 1939, in Glady, a son of the late McClellan Rhodes and Della Baker Rhodes.
He married Rella Cooper Rhodes, who survives. They had been married for 37 years.
Also surviving are a son, Richard W. Rhodes, Seneca Rocks; a daughter, Rita A. Rhodes, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a sister, Della Mae Cork, Stuarts Draft, Va.; two brothers, Roger Rhodes and Roy Rhodes, both of Glady; two grandsons, Corey and Tyler Rhodes; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Rhodes worked for General Motors in Baltimore, Md., and Adell Polymers Inc. in Petersburg for several years. He was a member of Glady Church of the Brethren and attended Pleasant View United Methodist Church in Seneca Rocks.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Schaeffer Funeral Home today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Thursday at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Paul O’Gorek and Pastor Barbara K. Rexroad officiating. Interment will follow in Cooper Family Cemetery in Seneca Rocks. Memorial donations may be made to Grant County Nursing Home, 27 Early Ave., Petersburg, W.Va. 26847.
