Bernice G. Ice
Bernice G. Ice, 82, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2002.
She was born Sept. 3, 1919, in Upshur County.
She worked as an LPN for Healthhaven and retired after 30 years. She was a member of the Franklin Township Women’s Democrat Club, the Eagles Auxiliary and the VFW. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery and made the best pies in the world.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; one son, Dennis; one daughter, Judy Ann; and one son-in-law, Richard Doll.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet Doll, Nancy (Robert) Wagner and Diana (Walter) Justice; daughter-in-law, Jean McIntyre; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. From 5 Sep 2002.

Marvin N. Iden
Marvin Nelson "Jake" Iden, 90, of 98 Chestnut St., Buckhannon, died Sunday Oct. 20, 2002, at 10:10 a.m. in Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born July 9, 1912, in Davis, a son of the late N.S. and Betty Simmons Iden.
On Aug. 1, 1952, he married Delma Gainer Iden, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Cindy Caperton, Morgantown, and Cathy and husband, Kip Becker, Boston, Mass.; two brothers, Richard Iden and wife, Anna Belle, Charlotte, N.C., and Robert Iden and wife, Evilee, Lehigh Acres, Fla.; one grandson, Hugh Caperton, Charleston; one sister-in-law, Katherine Iden, Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, C. Fred Iden and Irvin Iden; and three sisters, Audra Evans, Nellie Iden Minney and Josie Iden.
He was a long time resident of Buckhannon, where he lived with his wife, Delma. He saw two great milestones this past summer, his 90th birthday and his 50th wedding anniversary. He was a graduate of Davis High School. He was also a graduate of Potomac State College, where he was a member of the basketball team that played in the first West Virginia state tournament. He was a captain in the Army Aircorps during World War II. Later he owned Iden Buick Co. in Philippi for 28 years before retiring in 1978. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and served on the administrative board.
Friends will be received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. On Wednesday, he will be moved to First United Methodist Church, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the funeral hour, with the Rev. Dr. Charles Godwin, the Rev. Billee Scott Mick and the Rev. Mary Flynn officiating. Interment will follow in Heavner Cemetery at Buckhannon. The Buckhannon VFW Post 3663 and Frank B. Bartlett Post 7, American Legion will conduct military honors at the graveside. From 21 Oct 2002.

Anthony W. Iseli
Anthony Wayne Iseli, the 5-month-old son of William Wayne Coonts and Kerri Iseli of South Davis Avenue, Elkins, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 19, 2002.
He was born Jan. 28, 2002, in Elkins.
Surviving are one brother, Zachary Iseli, and one sister, Kayla Iseli, both at home; his maternal grandparents, John Iseli and wife, Anita, Elkins, and Mariyn Iseli of Roanoke, Va.; and his paternal grandparents, Charles Coonts, Elkins, and Karen Livingston, Delaware.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints near Beverly. Bishop Lynn Muhlestein will officiate and interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery near Beverly. The Tomblyn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. From 22 July 2002.

Anthony W. Iseli
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints near Beverly. Bishop Lynn Muhlestein will officiate and interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery near Beverly. The Tomblyn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. From 23 July 2002.

Maude E. Isenhart
Maude Elizabeth Isenhart, 84, a resident of Diamond Street, Elkins, for many years, and for the past nine years a resident of Mineral City, Ohio, passed away Tuesday evening, July 30, 2002.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and under the direction of Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins. From 31 July 2002.

Maude E. Isenhart
Maude Elizabeth Isenhart, 84, a former resident of Diamond Street, Elkins, and a resident of Mineral City, Ohio, for the past nine years, passed away Tuesday evening in Ohio.
She was born Aug. 28, 1917, at Kanawha Head, the daughter of the late Marsh and Alma Higgens Murphy.
On Jan. 26, 1935, she was married to Holly "Buck" Isenhart, who preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1979.
She is survived by one son, Elmer "Pete" Isenhart and wife, Addie, Franklin, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Roy (Dolly) Gentry, with whom she made her home in Mineral City, Ohio; one sister, Catherine Martin; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were four brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Isenhart was a homemaker and attended the Elkins Church of God and the Sandy Valley Church of God in Magnolia, Ohio.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Tomblyn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Eli Hostetler officiating. Interment will follow in Elkins Memorial Gardens. From 1 Aug 2002.

Doris R. Isner
Doris Ruth Isner, 84, a resident of Kerens, departed this life at 8:55 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at her home. She had been in declining health for the past three years and death was attributed to cardiac arrest.
She was born Tuesday, Aug. 14, 1917, at Cass, a daughter of the late Charles E. Fuhrman and Ruth Jackson Fuhrman.
On May 26, 1944, at Green Bank, she was married to J. Herman Isner, who survives.
Also surviving are one brother, Robert Fuhrman and wife, Charlene, Elkins; four sisters, Mary Catherine Dahmer, Marjorie Eloise Riffle and Nina Mae Polland, all of Elkins, and Anna Sue Beck, Richmond, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by twin brothers, Charles Edward and William Jackson Fuhrman; and two sisters, Mildred Wilson and Helen Fuhrman.
She attended the schools at Cass. She was a graduate of Green Bank High School, with the class of 1936, and earned her teaching degree from Davis & Elkins College, having taught at Wildell, Salisbury and Clover Lick. She was a homemaker, a superb cook and a Methodist.
Friends will be received at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Donald L. Lockhart will officiating and interment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery at Elkins. From 1 May 2002.

Zetta M. Isner
Zetta Margaret Isner, 86, a former resident of Elkins, and more recently a resident of Warren, Ohio, departed this life Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at her home. She had been in declining health and death was attributed to natural causes.
She was born Aug. 19, 1916, at Dry Fork, a daughter of the late William Ellison Flanagan and Rada Margaret Mick Flanagan.
On Nov. 7, 1932, she was married to Wilbert Claire Isner, who preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1974.
Surviving are three sons, Carl Dale Isner, Hinton, Richard Neil Isner and wife, Mary, Cheyenne, and William Francis Isner and wife, Margo, Warren, Ohio; one daughter, Helen Louise Taylor and husband, Abraham, Warren, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by one daughter, Rosalie Ann Stankiewicz in May, 2002; four brothers, John, Emeril, Gordon and Stelmer Flanagan; and three sisters, Bertha Bennett, Gertie Bonner and Irene Huffman.
She attended the school at Jenningston. She was a homemaker and a former member of the First Baptist Church at Elkins.
The family will receive friends at Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor Sunday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Eli Hostetler will officiate and interment will follow at Parsons City Cemetery. The Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Zetta Margaret Isner. From 24 Oct 2002.
