I am looking for the relations of John Perry Harper. I am his grandson living in Prince George County, Virginia. He married Mary Ettie Milam. I think she was previously married to a man by the name of Fisher. They are buried at Emma Chapel Cemetery, Liberty. My grandfather was born out of wedlock. His mother's name was Ester Harper. Also looking for Milam relatives. Many are now deceased, but lived in Kanawha County. Around the Mammoth area.

Searching for information on Selesta J.Vance, daughter of Thomas Vance, age 63 and Viola (possibly Griffith) Vance age 26. Selesta was 8 months old on the 1880 census. The census place was Curry, Putnam County, WV. Viola's mother also named Selesta Griffith lived with them and two brothers, Harvey Griffith, 19 and Benjamine Griffith , 14. This was a second marriage for Thomas, and it appears he moved from Gallia County, Ohio to WV possibly when this marriage occurred. I would say it occurred sometime after around 1875 and before 1880 but that is only speculation. His last documented child from first wife was in 1866/67 in Ohio. Does anyone know anything about these families, where they may be buried or any decendents? Hoping to hear from someone. Sandy

Am trying to locate James Spencer who was father of James Spencer born on 3 10 1856. The first James was born around 1825 and the mother of my James was Elizabeth Ann born around 1824. Father= Walter Parker Cornell Grandfather = Stephen H. Cornell Great GF = Benjamin Cornell ? Great Great GF = Jacob Cornell? All WV residents as far as I can tell. Looking for information on Hubert Barton CHANNEL, DPOB: ca. 1881, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England. Father: Henry CHANNEL, mother: Eliza PERRIN, all born England. Sisters: Francis Beatrice Louise CHANNEL VanDusen(my grandmother); Cecliy Salome CHANNEL Wiegelman (both sisters deceased). Family immigrated to US ca.1881 (Hubert Barton CHANNEL was at least 11 months old as we have picture taken in England when he was 11 mos.) Hubert Barton CHANNEL married Anna M. (DOB: ca.1885), marriage date and place unknown. No known children from that union, but Anna M. had two children (nfi) from previous marriage (Roberts?). Hubert and Anna lived in Nitro, WV, in 1922 where family ancedotal info has him working with explosives(?). Unknown when they arrived in Nitro or how long they lived there, or if they left together (might have been a divorce). Would appreciate any info, to include vital records, etc.
