Know all men by these presents that we Sebastian Hoover Robert Davis and George Hammer are held and firmly bound unto Robert Burnett Henry Flesher John McCoy and Robert Paage Gentlemen Justices of the County Court of Pendleton now sitting in the Sum of Two hundred pounds to the payment whereof will and truly be made to the said Justices and this (illegible) we bind ourselves our heirs executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our seald and dated this 3 day of October Anno Domini One Thousand seven hundred and ninety one and the 16 year of the Commonwealth.

The Condition of the above obligation is such that of the abouve bound Sebastian Hoover guardian of Sebastian Hoover and Catharine Hoover Orphans of Sebastian Hoover deceased as executurs as administrators shall will and truly pay and eeliver or or cause to be paid and delivered unto the said Sebastian Hoover and Catharine Hoover all such estate or estates as now is or are hereafter shall or may appear to be due to the said orphans from the said guardian when and as soon as the said Sebastian Hoover and Catharine Hoover shall attain to lawful age to demand the same or when thereto required by the said Justices of the said Court as also keep harmless and indemnify the above named Justices their and every of their heirs executors and administrators from all (illegible) damages, Morts and charges that may or shall arise or happen to them or any or either of them about the said estate then the above obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force. Will of Ines Hoover
Pendleton Co., WV Will Book 5:26
In the name of God, Amen. I, Ines Hoover of the County of Pendleton and State of West Virginia, being sickly and weak in boddy, but of sound mind and disposing mercy for which I thank God and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate it has pleased God to bless me with, I give and bequeath the same in manner following,
First, it is my will and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be duly paid and sadisfied as soon as conveniently can be done after my decease.
Secondly, I give and bequeath Catherine Reed and her heirs the track of land that I know live on after my death, but I am to have my maintenance off of the land so long as I live. I give the Old Woman's Saddle to Catharine Reed, all my personal property stands my own as long as I live - After my death it is to be devided among my heirs except Joab Keller's Heirs and they get nothing but one dollar.
And lastly, I nominate, constitute and appoint Jacob Kissamore to be the Executor of this my will, hereby revoking all other wills, legacies and bequests heretofore made by me and declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof, I herewith set my hand and seal this 13th day of February 1870.

The said Michael Hoover, Thomas Hoover, Peter Hoover dec'd, Sebastian Hoover the younger dec'd, and the said Sebastian Hoover Jr having departed this life intestate and being possessed of several tracts of land and lotts in the County of Pendleton the same deceased in coparencary to Jacob Hoover Jr, Michael Hoover to the heirs of Peter Hoover dec'd to the heirs of Sebasitian Hoover the younger dec'd, Thomas Hoover, Catharine Stone, Lawrence Hoover and George Hoover, the said Lawrence and George having heretofore conveyed their rights and title to the houses and lotts hereby conveyed to the said Zebulon Dyer and Jacob Hoover now this Indenture witnesseth that they on the first part. At a court held for Pendleton County the 4th day of July 1813 this dees was acknowledged by Thomas Hoover, William Hoover, George Sevey and Peter Hoover, parties thereto and as to them is order to be recorded. A Copy Teste: Z Dyer CPC; And another Court held for said county the 5th day of July 1814 was further acknowledged by Henry Hoover, Michael Hoover and Catharine Simth wife of the within named Isaac Smith, she said Catharine being privily examined as the (illegible words) and as to them is answered to be recorded. I Peter Pobe [Pope] of the County of Pendleton and State of Virginia do hereby make my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say, I give to my wife Catharine Pobe the house I now live in, and the thirds of all my Lands, and all the Household and kitchen furniture during her natural life, and I desire that the balance of the perishable part of my estate be immediately sold after my decease, and out of the monies arising therefrom, all my just debts and funeral expences be paid, and the balance to be divided in the following manner, my wife Catharine to have the one third, and the balance to be equally divided Between my son John Pobe, and my daughter Catharine Warnsturf. 2dly after the payment of my debts and funeral expenses, I give to my son John Pobe the lands that I purchased of William Smith, and all the lands that I hold below the lane. Thirdly I give to my son in law Jacob Warnsturf all the Lands that lies above the lane which I give to them their heirs executors, administrators and assigns forever. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my son John Pobe and my soninlaw Jacob Warnsturf Executors of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all other or former wills on Testaments by me Theretofore made. In witness wereof I have thereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 22 day of July in the year of our Lord 1831.

At a Court held for Pendleton County on the 3rd day of February 1842. The Last Will and Testament of Peter Pobe dec'd was presented in Court and proved by the oaths of Jacob Greiner and Adam Evick the subscribing Witness thereto and ordered to be recorded.
And on the motion of John Pobe and Jacob Warnsturf the Executors therein named who made oath thereto and together with Matthew Dyer, Cyrus Hopkins and William H. Dyer their Securities entered into, and acknowledged their Bond in the penalty of Seven hundred Dollars conditioned as the Law directs certificate is granted them for obtaining a probat thereof in due form.-----

Will of Catherine Pope Warnstaff [Warnsturf] Will Book 5 page 224.

Be it remembered that I Catharine Warnstaff of the County of Pendleton and State of West Virginia being weak in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory, and blessed be Almghty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following:
1st After my death I give to my son John Warnstaff Fifty Dollars ($50) in money.
(2nd) And to my son Noah Warnstaff I give Fifty Dollars ($50) in money.
(3rd) And to my son in law Charles W. Dasher I give One Dollar ($1) in money.
(4") And to my soninlaw Saml Trumbo I give One Dollar ($1) in money.
(5") And the remainder of my money and personal property I want divided equally between my son Peter Warnstaff and my daughter Susan Warnstaff.
And I hereby appoint my son Peter Warnstuff Executor of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 27th day of November in the year of our Lord 1869.
