I am seeking family genealogical information on John McGraw, born 3 Nov 1809 in Virginia. Lived on Bell Creek near Dixie, WV. He married Ann Nichols, born 17 Jan 1817. She was the daughter of James Nichols and Anna Bails of Bell Creek, Nicholas County, (W) Va. He was a trader and said to earn a living setting on his front porch trading. He was to have had a body trimers or shake. He died 1 Oct 1865 and was to have been buried in the Vincell Cemetery at Dixie, Nicholas County, WV. Hi! I'm doing research on John and Margaret Beard Kyle. They were in your area in the early 1800's. John was a farmer and a schoolteacher. Both J and M lived to their 90's, and I have not yet found their definite death dates (1850's-1860's) or their wills or their obituaries. I have reason to believe J and M are buried in the Greenbrier, Nicholas, or Monroe Counties areas. I have visited with Ted Kyle Summersville, in the past; and I have been to Lewisberg searching for clues. J and M had 7 children, among them Charles, my ancestor, who married Catharine Vance. Looking for ancestry of James Robert Martin b. 1840 who was first married to Elizabeth Grose in 1861, he then re-married to Mary Jane Walker b. 1840 in Nicholas County, VA. in 1866 I am also looking for anyone who might have any information on both of their parents. BOGGS/ Wesley or Leslie bc 1870 Jackson Co., WV I'm seeking info. on his siblings/ parents. Rosa BOGGS and Leslie BOGGS were married 7 SEP 1901 in Nicholas Co. Rosa was born c1880 in Jackson Co.. She was the dau of Thomas BOGGS and Lucinda Jane SMITH. Leslie or Wesley BOGGS, as it appears on my grandfather's delayed birth certificate, was dead by 1910. Rosa is found in in the Nicholas Co. Census in dwelling 21. She is married to George W. BLANKENSHIP, son of Alfred and Mary BLANKENSHP. Living with them is my grandfather, listed as Haymond BLANKENSHIP (should be Haymond BOGGS) and Oscar BLANKENSHIP (I believe this should be William Roscoe, who is listed on the 1920 Census as a BOGGS). Would like to correspond with anyone working on Abraham MARTIN b 1824 Fayette Co. died aft 1880 in Nicholas Co. married Mary Pauline RIPPTOE 14 Jan 1845 Nicholas Co. Children: James H. b 1847, Margaret b 1848 m Clark MORRIS, Nancy Elizabeth b 1849, Martha Ann b 1851 married George Felix BOYCE, William Henry b 1853 married Elizabeth Honor SIMS, Joseph Alexander b 1855 married Ann Eliza DORSEY, Ann Haseltine b 1857,maried Harvey Clement LEGG, Virginia b 1862, John b 1864.Would like to know where they lived and in what cemetery they are buried. The RIPPTOE family lived at Kessler Cross Lanes. Did these MARTIN's live there? In 1870 and 1880 they lived in Jefferson Dist. in Nicholas Co. Abraham is the s/o Joseh MARTIN and Margaret SLACK. In Fayette Co Deed Book C page 111 an agreement was made with Jospeh Martin and his sons Abraham, William and Nathan fro them to maintain the land and house, animals etc., of Joseph and his wife for their natural life. Seeking any information on Robert Lee FOLEY. He was my great-grandfather. Born about 1863, died in Richwood around 1911, and is buried in the Odd Fellows part of Richwood Cemetary, according to my grandmother. I need proof of parentage, as he was raised by John L. QUICKEL and Nancy Elizabeth PLYMAN QUICKEL at least from 1870 on. I believe he rec'd a pauper's funeral, and is buried in an unmarked grave head to toe with Cleo TINGLER, a little girl who died in 1909, I think. A wooden marker was long since been washed away. No death rec. exists that I know of. Robert FOLEY married Mary Elizabeth WINES, dau of George and Martha ROSE WINES. Need burial site and death record for John L. QUICKEL, whose spouse was at the time of death Bertie GREEN QUICKEL. His first wife, Nancy Elizabeth PLYMAN QUICKEL died in 1911, and I would also like to know where she was interred. They were residents of Richwood in the 1910 census. He was born about 1847 in Alleghany Co., VA. The QUICKELS moved to Braxton Co. around 1865. He & Nancy PLYMAN married in March of 1869 in Braxton County.
