Sullivan Sat, 14 Mar 1998 03:36:38 SURNAME: FRANCISCO
Looking for traces of our FRANCISCO ancestors, at least two of whom
were born in Morgan County when it was part of Virginia. Family records
show my gg-grandfather, Abraham, was born in Morgan County in 1795 and
an older brother, Hiram, was born there in 1794. Their father's name might
have been John FRANCISCO. Another of Abraham's brothers is believed to
have been named Absalom.
At least some family members apparently left Morgan County in the early
part of the 19th century, because Abraham, Absalom, Hiram and John were
all found in 1820 in Hocking County, OH. This John might be the patriarch
of the clan or another brother. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Banzhoff Fri, 30 Jan 1998 21:54:34 SURNAMES: HARE, FLORA
Hineman Hare appears in the 1870 Morgan Co. Census with Aurelia ??
with the two sons by his first wife and James Hare and Florence, my great-great
grandmother.
Would anyone have an idea what Aurelia's last name might have been?
The Hares seemed to have strong ties to the Flora's so perhaps she could
have been a Flora. I noticed in the 1860 census that only first initials
was used for members of a household, other than the head of household.
There was a Largent family living close to the Floras that had a female
with the initial A. that would have been the age of Aurelia at that time.

Looking for the parents of two brothers, Nathan and Isaac CATLETT,
who moved from the Morgan Co. area in 1817 to Hardin/LaRue County KY. Nathan
Catlett was born in Berkeley Co in December of 1788. Isaac Catlett was
born either in 1802 or 1803 in Berkeley Co or in Maryland. Family stories
say that the father had disowned Nathan for marring a german girl from
Jefferson Co. Supposedly the father died about 1816 at which point the
two brothers went to KY. The stories state that the mother was of French
stock and may have remarried and moved out to Indiana.
