NICHOLS, ALMA M. FIELDS

Charleston Gazette...Alma M. Fields Nichols, 62, of Lynco, Wyoming County, died Saturday, April 8, 2000 in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, after a short illness. She was a homemaker and a native of Kanawha County. She was preceded in death by parents, Emanuel and Opal Strickland Fields. Surviving: husband, Charles N. Nichols; daughters Charlene Francis of Itmann, Kathy Dunlow of Dunlow; sons, Charles D. of Greenville, Tenn., Ricky L. of Oceana; brother Austin Fields of Mantua, Ohio; sister Faye Strickland of Elkview; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Service was to be 1 pm today at Matics Funeral Home, Clendenin, with Virgil Ross officiating. Burial was to be in the Fields family cemetery, Walton.

NUGENT, MISS SARAH

The Charleston Gazzette, Sunday, December 6, 1964..Miss Sarah Nugent, 76, of 41 McCorkle Ave., formerly of Huntington, died Saturday after a long illness at the home of her neice, Mrs. Richard Workman, whith whom she lived. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Snodgrass Funeral Home in South Charleston.

OSBORNE, MRS. SADIE CROWDER

Mrs. Sadie Crowder Osborne, 61 years old, died at her home in Blue Creek Sunday night and was buried in Youngs Cemetery at Blue Creek Tuesday, according to word reaching here yesterday. She was ill for several months. Mrs. Osborne was the daughter of the late James A. and Amanda C. Crowder of Blue Creek. She is survived by her husband, George F. Osborne: Three sons. B.L. and Archie Osborne of Oklahoma and Harry Osborne of South Charleston: and five brothers, J.C. Crowder of Poca: D.A. Crowder, S.A. Crowder and G.A. Crowder of Elkview and J.Z. Crowder of Charleston. Funeral services were held Tuedsday from Blue Creek Baptist Church with Rev. C.B. Jackson, pastor officiating.
