Adams, Mrs. Emily

Mrs Emily Tackett Adams, 74, (1 Nov 1894- 14 Nov 1968) of Loudendale, died Friday in Thomas Memorial Hospital. Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Bertha Pauley of South Charleston, Mrs. Gladys Ferrell of Loudendale, Mrs. Roberta Laird, Mrs. Goldie Bryant and Mrs. Linda Walker of Cleveland, Ohio; sons, Bill and Bernard of Loudendale and Samuel of Cross Lanes; sisters, Mrs. Stashie Callen of Clendenin, Mrs. Hattie Pauley of Alum Creek, Mrs. Dollie Williams of Ashford and Mrs. Eva Runyan of Michigan; brothers, Earl Tackett of Yawkey, Ervin of Costa. The body is at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, and will be taken to the home of Mrs. Ferrell in Loudendale Sunday at 2 p.m. The funeral will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Loudendale Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Albert Holbrook and the Rev. Ruth Scarbro officiating. Burial will be in the Midkiff Cemetery at Sumerco.

Adams, James Clifford

Adams, James Clifford Sr.-46, of Cleveland, Ohio, formerly of Charleston, died Wednesday (13 Jan 1965) at his home after a short illness. He was a World War II veteran, Surviving ar his widow, Wanda; five sons, James Jr. of New Haven, Conn., Larry David with the Army in Germany, Johnny, Richard and William, all of Bloomingrose; two daughters, June and Pamela, both of Bloomingrose; his mother, Mrs. Emma Adams of Loudendale; three brothers, Bill and Bernard of Loudendale, and Samuel of Charleston; five sisters, Mrs. Bertha Pauley of St. ALbans, Mrs. Gladys Ferrell of Whitesville, Mrs. Goldie Bryant and Mrs. Linda Walker, both of Loudendale, and Mrs. Roberta Laird of Cleveland, Ohio. The body is at Snodgrass Funeral Home in South Charleston.

Adams, Samuel F

Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gatens Funeral Home, Poca, with the Rev. John Wimer and Romie Comer officiating. Burial will be in Comer Cemetery, Loudendale. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Adams, 61 of Charleston, died Feb 11, 1994, at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston, after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County, a retired truck driver for McCown Meat Co. with 30 years' service and a former employee of Boggess House Movers. Surviving: wife, Mary Bowling Adams; daughters, Karen Oxley of Hurricane, Mary Haynes of Tampa, Fla.; sons, Scotty of Vinton, Va., Samuel and Tim, both of St. Albans, Richie at home; sisters, Gladys Ferrell, Roberta Laird, Goldie Bryant and Linda Walker, all of Loudendale; brother, Bernard of Loudendale; seven grandchildren.

Adams, Willie Cesco (Bill)

Charleston Daily Mail Sep 6, 1987...Willie Cesco (Bill) Adams, 72 of Route 2, Box 271-A, Loudendale, died Sept 5, 1987, at home after a short illness. He was an auto mechanic. Surviviing: wife, Louise; sons, Leroy, Gary and Randy, all of Charleston; daughters, Becky Dean and Delores Nolen, both of Charleston, Brenda Pauley and Connie Duncan of Seattle, Patricia Dolin of Tornado; brothers, Bernard of Charleston and Sam of Poca; sisters, Roberta Laird, Goldie Bryant and Linda Walker, all of Charleston, Gladys Ferrell of Florida; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Loudendale Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Burton Hall officiating. Burial will be in Comer Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. tody at the funeral home.

Asbury, Mrs. Denver Pearl Miller

1904 - 1996�Mrs. Denver Pearl (Miller) Asbury 92 of Charleston died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1996 in Cedar Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She lived most of her life in the Kanawha Valley and was a former resident of Putnam and Jackson counties. She attended Rock Spring Methodist Church, Goldtown. Surviving: son Carroll James Koontz of Charleston: foster son, James Leroy Miller of Ripley; sisters, Violet Smith of Liberty, Hazel Irene Boggs of Dunbar; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, with the Rev. Jackie Lee Miller officiating. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery, Liberty, WV. (Denver was the daughter of William Silas Miller & Pricilla Stevens.)
