Eliza A. Hall Pauley, first wife of Amos. Eliza died 11/22/1853. She was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Hall. Surviving was a son, James W., who was with his maternal grandparents in 1860 and was with Meredith in 1870.)

John H. Pauley, born 1851, died 11/23/1853. Son of Meredith and Nancy Tully Hall Pauley.

Nancy Tully Hall Pauley, second wife of Meredith. Nancy died 6/11/1860, twenty seven days after the death of Meredith’s daughter, Louisa. A marker has been found for Louisa but not for Nancy.

Annetta Jane Pauley, daughter of Meredith and Nancy. Annetta married Lewis Cobbs. They lost an unnamed baby 4/291866. Annetta does not show up in the census after the death of the child.. This would indicate she died before 1870. Another indication of her death is that she is not mentioned in Meredith’s will. Annetta could have been buried in one of the Cobb cemeteries.

Notes:

Mary Lucinda Hoopes Pauley, second wife of Cornelius was the daughter of Vincent and Harriet (McMahon) Hoopes and is buried in Childress Cemetery.)

Meredith’s son Dryden is buried in Childress Cemetery.
