WILL OF ALLEN STEWART

In the name of God Amen

I Allen Stewart of the County of Fauquier and State of Virginia being weak in body but of sound and perfect memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form as followeth

Item I give and bequeath to my daughter in law Nancy Stewart during her life or widowhood, the following Negros, Polly, Reuben, Robert, and Lucinda, also one Roane mare and three head of cattle , also all the household and kitchen furniture that I have in possession and after her death or widowhood to be equally divided between my three grand children to wit, Mark A. Stewart, Adeline E. Stewart, and Francis M. Stewart now living children but should they have more children I wish them to have an equal part. It is my wish and desire that the legacy left by my last will and testament should not be under the control nor subject to the payment of debts of y son Daniel Stewart, but shall be placed in the hands of Mark A Chilton as trustee, for the use and benefit of my said daughter in law Nancy Stewart, and her children which have been before mentioned.

I do hereby appoint my friend Mark A Chilton my executor to this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made .. In testimony whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand and seal this 9th day of March, 1827.
