Whereas, By deed dated on the 3d day of March, 1881, recorded in the office of the Clerk of the County Court of Kanawha County, West Virginia, in deed book No. 36, page 427, Ballard P. Clendenin conveyed to John L. Arthur, a certain lot or parcel of land in Brownstown, Kanawha County, West Virginia, fully set out and described in said deed, recorded as aforesaid, to which reference is here made for further description, Which said lot or parcel of land was afterwards conveyed to S. H. Campbell and N. J. Campbell, who are now owners thereof; and, Whereas, It is not clear that the acknowledgment of all the parties to said deed, is technically correct, and said parties now desiring to correct and imperfection of said acknowledgment, and Susan M. Jackson, one of the grantors in said deed, having died leaving sundry heirs desiring to perfect the title of the grantees herein in and to said property. Now, Therefore, This Deed made this 15 day of October, in the year 1900, between Ballard P. Clendenin and A. C. Mason, Trustees, A. C. Mason and Fannie E. Mason, his wife, Ballard P. Clendenin and Eliza J. Clendenin, his wife, Edwin (Edward, CA) Jackson, Thomas Jackson, and Florence E. Jackson, his wife, William Jackson, and Onah Jackson, his wife, Charles Brugh and Julia Brugh, his wife, James Conavay and Mary J. Conavay, his wife, D. C. Wood, and his wife, Maggie F. Wood, parties of the first part, and said S. H. Campbell and N. J. Campbell, parties of the second part;

Witnesseth; That in consideration of the premises and the sum of Five Dollars cash in hand paid, the said parties of the first part do hereby grant and convey unto the said parties of the second part, all the said parties of the first part's right, title and interest in and to said lot or parcel of land fully set out and described in the deed first above mentioned. To which reference is here made for further description.
