Berkeley County, West Virginia Biography of James H. WALKER


         James H. WALKER, the son of William W. and Elizabeth (Bowers) Walker, was born April 28, 1827.

         He was married March 16, 1852 to Mary E. Kilmer, daughter of John and Catherine (Walters) Kilmer, who was born July 17, 1833. They had the following children: John W. Walker, December 22, 1852-?, lived in Baltimore, Maryland; Lillie V. (Walker) Wilson, January 6, 1855-?, lived in Martinsburg; Allen H. Walker, February 14, 1859-?; and Stuart W. Walker, November 3, 1862-?.

         James H. Walker was a farmer in the Hedgesville district with a mailing address of, Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia, and was one of the proprietors of the Walkers Mill, located in that county.
