On October 23, 1873, he and Almira V. Thomas, daughter of James M. and Harriet T. (Stewart) Thomas, were married in Hagerstown, Maryland.
They had five children: Leah A. Throckmorton, February 16, 1874-?; Effa T. Throckmorton, March 5, 1876-?; Charles L. Throckmorton, March 1, 1878-?; Mary S.T. Throckmorton,
January 10, 1880-?; and Jessie A. Throckmorton, January 2, 1882-?.
They make their home in Darkesville, Mill Creek District, Berkeley County, West Virginia, where Mr. Throckmorton is a farmer.
