In December 1865, Moses S. Tabler and Laura Olmstead, daughter of Eliphalet and Mary Ann (Boyden) Olmstead, were married. Miss Olmstead was
born in Portland, Maine, and moved to Berkeley County with her parents in 1867. Frederick Olmstead, a cousin to Mrs. Tabler, and Jesse Olmstead, her uncle, were soldiers in the Civil war.
Moses and Laura Tabler had two children: Clifford Tabler, November 23, 1876-?; and Clarence W., May 30, 1880-?. (Note: The marriage date is probably incorrect since the article went on to
say Laura Olmstead moved to Berkeley County with her parents in 1867, which would have been two years after her marriage. In addition, the 1865 marriage date would have meant Moses was 13.)
Moses Tabler was a farmer in the Opequon district and received his mail at Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia.

Moses S. TABLER was born in the Opequon district of Berkeley County, West Virginia, in 1852, the son of Harrison P. and Mary (Welshhans) Tabler.
