Berkeley County West Virginia Biography of Adam B. SPECK


         Adam B. SPECK, born May 3, 1842 in York County, Pennsylvania, was the son of Frederick and Susannah (Berkheymer) Speck, natives of that same county.

         Adam Speck and Mary E. Ritter, daughter of John and Mary (Brumly) Ritter of Frederick County, Virginia, were married in that county on November 10, 1868. Their children were: William H. Speck, born October 22, 1869-?; Laura B. Speck, July 1, 1871-?; John A. Speck, May 18, 1873-?; Lillie B. Speck, November 28, 1879-?; and Walter E. Speck, January 8, 1882-?.

         Farming is the occupation of Adam Speck and he did that at Bunker Hill, Mill Creek District, Berkeley County, West Virginia.
