Berkeley County, West Virginia Biography of A.H. MYERS


         A.H. MYERS was born in Berkeley County, West Virginia, on March 2, 1839. During the pioneer days, the Myers family settled in that county near the Opequon creek in the district of the same name,. Mr. Myers was a farmer in the Opequon district, with an address of VanClevesville, Berkeley County, West Virginia.

         On April 3, 1861, A.H. Myers and Isabelle V. Van Metre, who was born in Berkeley county July 7, 1836, were married. She was the daughter of Thomas and Mary (McQuilkin) Van Metre, residents of that county who were deceased by 1884. Children born to A.H. and Isabelle Myers were: William C. Myers, February 4, 1863-?; Aaron T. Myers, April 15, 1864-?; Philip C. Myers, May 1, 1867-?; Charles H. Myers, January 27, 1869-?; Mary V. Myers, August 23, 1870-?; and Rosa Washington Myers, March 23, 1876-?.
