On April 29, 1874, Will S. Laise and Elizabeth W. Clendening, daughter of James H. and Lydia (Bushman) Clendening, were married in the village of Bunker Hill, Mill Creek District, Berkeley County.
Miss Clendening was born in Berkeley County July 26, 1854. A daughter, Mabel C. Laise, was born to the couple on September 1, 1875.
Mr. Laise was a farmer in Bunker Hill, Mill Creek District, Berkeley County, West Virginia.

Will S. LAISE, born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on August 23, 1850, moved to Berkeley County July 15, 1866. He was the son of C.F. and Martha H. (Showalter) Laise, who also moved to Berkeley in March 1867.
