Charlotte (Chesnut) Ranck, October 21, 1851-?, lived in Poweshick County, Iowa; James M. Chesnut, July 7, 1857-?, lived in Pennsylvania; Margaret E. Chesnut, June 22, 1860-?; Alice B. Chesnut, September 10, 1862-?; twins, Anna E. Chesnut and Martha J. Chesnut, May 24, 1865-?; and Flora E.D. Chesnut, March 4, 1869-?.
Mr. Chesnut was a lumberman living in the Hedgesville district, with a mailing address of Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia.

John CHESNUT was born in Bedford County, Pennsylvania, April 17, 1826, the son of George and Elizabeth (Edwards) Chesnut, residents of Fulton, Pennsylvania. John Chesnut moved to Berkeley County in 1882. His grandfather went to Berkeley County in 1790 from Philadelphia.
