Rebecca Huber, who moved to Berkeley County in 1865. J.A. and Clara Blondel had four children: Guy H. Blondel, November 24, 1874-March 1, 1877; Richard L. Blondel, May 10, 1876-?; Meverl C. Blondel,
December 28, 1878-?; and Harry M. Blondel, January 5, 1881-?.

J.A. BLONDEL was a hardware merchant in the city of Martinsburg, doing an extensive business in stoves, tinware, hardware, and the like. He was born in Berkeley County July 21, 1847,
the son of Richard A. and Sarah E. (Helfersta) Blondel, also natives of that county.
