The picture is from 1915 and shows: Marshall and Co. General Merchandise, Hardware, Shoes, Notions; The Post Office; and J. C. Petric's Market, Plainfield, WI. Picture sent in by Sandy Ciszewski!

The men on the sidewalk are in front of the Saloon, and next to that is the Palace Cafe. That's all I can read on it. The back is addressed to a Mr. Ed Marousek of Lyonsville, South Dakota from his brother J.M. The message says: Dear Bro What are you doing all the time? We are plowing for corn. It's snowing today. I got a letter from Emil about 3 weeks ago, said he like his place alright. Dated May 2, 1911. Picture sent in by Sandy Ciszewski!

This is the Olson place built about 1900, by the Holdens in West Holden WI. Elof and Dena are pictured straight below the middle post of the porch and just above the children. He has a dark suit on and she has a white top on. This photo was taken in 1917. It was their 25th Wedding Anniversary.
