Brushville

Welcome to Brushville!

Brushville at one time was a busy and thriving community! It had a church, school, cheese factory, blacksmith shop, store and sawmill. My name is Darlene Ryan, your Town Coordinator . If you have any information you are willing to share; please contact me at: [email protected]

From Romance of Wisconsin Place Names by Robert E. Gard and L.G. Sorden (1968):

"Brushville - Waushara County: The name was chosen not for the woody foliage in the area, but for the Brush family. Eliphalet Brush was its second postmaster. The post office was discontinued February 15, 1906, and Brushville is presently a 'ghost' village in the northeastern part of the county."
