Welcome to the American History and Genealogy
Project (AHGP), an unincorporated not-for-profit
network of independent sites devoted to History
& Genealogy, and covering North American Countries
and Territories. For more information about our group,
including how you can join us, please see the home
page for the AHGP Project. Should you wish to host a
Wisconsin county, contact Tim Stowell or go to his website.

In 1918, Harry Ellsworth Cole published a 566 page compilation on the history of Sauk
county and the people who were counted as pioneers to this region. Excerpts from
A Standard History of Sauk County
, among other other presentations, follows.

This site is a member of the Wisconsin American History and Genealogy Project. We are a group of independent webmasters who link together to share historical and genealogical data with researchers in a peaceful and harmonious setting. AHGP is structured very differently from other online Genealogy and History organizations. We have very few rules or restrictions and believe in providing our members with many choices and options in every aspect of membership, thus eliminating the in-fighting prevalent in other groups.
