Sent from Camp MacArthur to Newport News in charge of officer's horses. There transferred to a headquarters company. Nearly a year overseas service.

Entered service April 28, 1917, at Superior, Wisconsin in Troop K, 2nd United States Cavalry. Trained at Fort Ethan Allen, Vermont. Sailed for France on March 22, 1918. Promoted to corporal and then to Sergeant. Battles participated in: Attached to 26th Division on the Toul Front and at St. Mihiel. Landed in United States June 29th, 1919. Mustered out July 10, 1919.

Born at Vaimland, Sweden, February 11, 1894. He was the son of John A. and Christian Anderson, Weyerhaeuser, Wisconsin. Entered the service at Ladysmith, Wisconsin on May 1, 1918. Assigned to Company H, 53rd Infantry Trained at Camp Wadsworth, South Carolina. Sailed for France July 6, 1918. Transferred to Company G, 52nd Infantry Participated in enemy attack at Sondernach, Alsace, October 4, 1918. Ill with flu October 23, to November 22, 1918, in France. Landed in United States June 12, and mustered out June 24, 1919.

Company C, 26th Division Promoted to Corporal. Battles participated in: Toul Sector, Seicheprey, Chemin des Dames, Chateau Thierry, St. Mihiel, Verdun, and Meuse-Argonne. Landed in United States April 17, 1919. Mustered out April 29, 1919.

Andress, Roy Bertrand
Born at Lohville, Iowa. He was the son of J. A. and E. Andress, Bruce, Wisconsin. Entered service at Ladysmith, Wisconsin on May 25, 1918. Assigned to 86th Division. Transferred to Detachment Q. M. C. Sub Depot No. 3. Sailed for France September 8, 1918. Ill September 23, Liverpool, England. Landed in United States July 22, and was mustered out July 29, 1919.

Arnold, Suel O.
Born at Whitney, Iowa, July 11, 1897. He was the son of W. B. Arnold, Ingram, Wisconsin. Graduate of Ladysmith High School, Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Enlisted in Troop K, April 14, 1917. Transferred to Battery B, and remained with it until shortly before the Armistice. Promoted to rank of Corporal. Ill with rheumatism, October 6 to October 27, 1918. Mustered out, April 25, 1919.

Aspheug, Christian E.
Born in Norway, January 20, 1887. He was the son of Cornelius and Ellen Aspheug. Entered service October 12, 1917 at Great Falls, Montana in Company G. 163rd Infantry, 41st Division Trained at Camp Lewis, Washington. Sailed for France December 20, 1917. Transferred to Company G, 127th Infantry. In all battles of 32nd Division up to October 4, 1918. Wounded August 3, 1918, at Chateau Thierry, by a machine gun bullet, in right thigh; and on October 4, in Argonne Forest, three fingers on left hand wounded by machine gun bullet. Landed in United States on December 24, 1918. Mustered out January 25, 1919.

Trained at Camp Function. Sailed for France August 15th, 1918. Saw action in Haute-Alsace and before Metz. Landed in United States June 1st, 1919. Mustered out June 15th.

Born at Garden, Michigan, August 8, 1893. He was the son of Arthur and Nellie Bailey. Entered the service at Ladysmith, Wisconsin May 1, 1918, assigned to Company B. M. P., 6th Div, at Camp Wadsworth, Spartanburg, South Carolina. Transferred to Company B, 35th Batn. United States Guards, on guard duty four months in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mustered out December 31, 1918.

Trained at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri, and Nogales, Arizona. Sailed for France June 11, 1917. Transferred to 35th Infantry. Was in the first Battle won by the American Forces in France on May 28th 1919 near Montdidier. Was gassed May 4th and May 28th, 1918. Landed in United States February 11, and was mustered out April 2, 1919.

Promoted to rank of sergeant, attended Candidate's School at Langace and on graduation was given certificate of eligibility for promotion to 2nd Lieutenant, shortly before returning was offered choice of commission or returning to States for discharge, preferred to return. Landed in United States in February 1919. Mustered out in March, 1919.

Born at Pardeeville, Wisconsin, September 19, 1890. He was the son of Alex Moore and Tillie Moore-Roberts. Attended high school three years, now attending University of Wisconsin under government vocational training. Enlisted in Troop K, June 30, 1917. Transferred to Battalion B, and remained with until wounded August 7, 1918. at St. Giles by a piece of shell. He was acting gunner corporal and was busy sighting the piece and did not lie down on the approach of the shell, a piece of which struck his helmet just over the left eye, cutting his forehead and putting out his left eye. Had not the piece of shell been turned in the course by the helmet death would most certainly have resulted. Landed in United States February 7, 1919. Mustered out March 7, 1919.

In all engagements of the 32nd Division Wounded October 4, 1918. Landed in United States March 25, 1919. Mustered out April 8th, 1919.

Born at Flambeau, June 24, 1891. He was the son of Joseph and Margaret vasseur, Flambeau. Entered service at Ladysmith May 25, 1918, assigned to 161st Depot Brigade. Trained at Camp Grant, Fort Snelling and Fort Brady, Michigan Transferred to 15th Company, 18th Batn, Fort Snelling. On guard duty at Forts Snelling and Brady, over German Prisoners of War. Ill with flu at Fort Brady, November 14 to 18, 1918. Mustered out January 13, 1919.

Vos, Walter
Born at Alton, Iowa, November 15, 1889. He was the son of John and Anna Vos, Bruce, Wisconsin. Entered service at Sibley, Iowa, July 18, 1918, assigned to Casual Company, No. 64, to Cook's and Baker's School, Camp Pike, Ark. Mustered out January 10, 1919.
