How can I submit (data, transcriptions, photos, etc.) to the website? Simple. E-mail me (Lori). Let me know what you would like to submit and I'll lead you through the process. I'll usually tell you to type the information (or attach the file) to an e-mail to me, but I do like a warning that data is on the way so I don't accidentally delete it as junk mail. I am still using a dial-up connection (egad!), so please let me know before you send a large file. I can handle just about any size sent, but do like a warning when one is coming through. What can I submit? What do you have? I can (and will) accept just about anything relating to the history or genealogy of Rock County, Wisconsin. The categories on the main index page are a good guideline, but if you don't see one that fits what you have, let me know. Creating a new category is extremely easy and I'm happy to oblige. The USGenWeb Project (which WIGenWeb-Rock County is a part of) does abide copyright laws. Therefore, I can only accept copyrighted material that is dated 1930 or prior. This includes cemetery transcriptions done by any historical or genealogical society. For anything with a copyright after 1930, contact me for specific instructions. What are my rights? Anything you submit to the website belongs to you. If, at any time, you wish to edit the information or have it removed from the website, just let me know. I'll do it. All information you submit will be credited to you (meaning there will be a link to your e-mail) unless you specify otherwise. This allows people to contact you regarding your family research or just thank you for being so generous. I do edit all digital submissions (photographs, postcards, etc.) so they "look their best." If you are unhappy with any changes I have made, feel free to let me know. I'm quite flexible. When will it be online? My policy is to have all submitted data online within a week. If I expect delays, I will let you know. If you don't hear from me or see your submission online within that time period, contact me. I'm not perfect. Um... I still have questions...
