- According to the 1873 atlas and 1917 atlas for Rock County,
there were nine rural schools in La Prairie
- Township. One source states the Sherman
school became the Van Allen
school, but the buildings are shown as being one mile apart according
to the maps (perhaps the district closed Sherman
and opened Van Allen in its
place). I do not know where Maple View
school was located.

is given below (using the modern road names).
- The numbers given to each school are mine and not district
numbers (unless stated as such).
