INDEX - 1972 & 2009 Photo Survey

updated 12 Jan 2011

* YOU WILL FIND THE LOCATION OF THE MOUNT OLIVE CEMETERY ON THE TOWN OF STURGEON BAY MAPS PAGE! *

LOCATION:  2.5 Miles South of the junction of Hwy. 42-57 and Door County Trunk C on C, then 1.0 mile East on Mount Olive Road, then 0.3 Miles South on Shiloh Road to the cemetery, which is on the East side of the road.  Fire Marker #2264.  NW corner SW1/4 SW1/4 Section 29.

Copied and typed by Sally TREICHEL, Door County Coordinator of the W.S.O.C.S. in November 1972.  The cemetery is maintained in good condition by the Mount Olive Cemetery Association.  The cemetery was the parish cemetery for Mount Olive Lutheran Church until it merged with Bay View Lutheran Church.  The property was then turned over to the Mount Olive Cemetery Association, which in 1972 finished renovation of the church building for use as a chapel.

Retyped by Sue HOHNEKE for the PGS Website 3 Oct 2009.  Dates have been converted when needed to read: dd-mmm-yyyy for continuity on the PGS Website.

2009-Sue HAVEL, of the PGS, has completed a photo survey of Mount Olive Cemetery and those pictures of stones have been incorporated into this index for the PGS Website.  She was able to take some pictures of the interior of the Mount Olive Church in September 2009.  You can view pictures of the interior of the Mount Olive Lutheran Church on the Town of Sturgeon Bay Page.
