May 18th is International Museum Day!

Dear Friends of the Luck Area Historical Society and Museum

‘A museum is a permanent, non-profit institution that is in the service of society and its development. It’s open to the public to acquire, conserve, research, communicate and exhibit the humanity tangible and intangible heritage plus its environment for enjoyment, study and education purposes. Therefore, International Museums Day serves as a platform for raising public awareness on the part museums play today in the improvement of society, on an international level.

We are living in challenging times with COVID-19 restriction taking us out of our routine. We are asking for your support today - to build on what we have and are planning for our tomorrow (and later this year and beyond).

Programs, displays and exhibits do not happen without financial support from our friends of the Luck Museum. Ideas, planning and execution are a team effort between our museum director and volunteers – who are very dedicated and have a passion for history and its preservation! The museum is a place where your voice is heard: your comments, and display or presentation ideas!

We are asking for a ‘gift from the heart’ to the Luck Museum fundraiser, a place where the community and its former citizens and extended community always feel welcome! According to feedback from our visitors, most everyone enjoys their visit.

As you know we are not supported through tax monies. A portion of our funding is from the generosity of our friends of the museum, from grants and from local corporations and foundations.

If you choose to support us in this fundraiser, you can either send your check to Luck Museum, PO Box 197, Luck WI 54853

Or by paying through your PayPal account by sending a payment using our email address. Area Historical Society)

We look forward to opening our doors soon! In the meantime, Stay Safe and Stay Healthy! On behalf of the Luck Area Historical Society & Museum
