Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 8:30 pm on 23 Nov 2010, by Vice-President Anita Doering.

Officer Reports

Secretary Joyce Krueger read the minutes of the 26 Oct 2010 meeting.A motion was made to accept the Secretary�s report as read. The motion was approved.

Treasurer Al Nelson read the Treasurer�s Report. The beginning balance on hand as of Oct 26 was $2,108.28 with receipts of $100.00 and disbursements of $435.00, leaving a balance on hand as of Nov. 23 of $1,773.28.

Committee Reports

Archives

We received a letter from La Crosse Public Library asking for the 2011 renewal of the three genealogy magazines that we have been donating to the library. It was decided to make that donation of $82.90.

Quarterly

No update.

Programs

The February program will be �Names in the Stitches: The Use of Genealogy in Quilt Research� presented by Peggy Derrick, curator of the La Crosse County Historical Society.

Website

Roxanne reported that over the summer she had managed to update the website with pictures taken in the Oak Grove Cemetery, and some from other cemeteries.

She has received numerous pictures that need identification, and is now working at getting those on the website also.

Unfinished Business - none

New Business

• Elections are coming in February. The Nominations Committee will be Connie and Dennis. Offices up for election in 2011 are Vice President and Treasurer.
• Since WSGS Gene-O-Rama is coming up in April, there was more discussion about putting together Cemetery Clean-Up Kits to sell. It was suggested that we have the March meeting as a work night to make up the kits.
• Dues are due: $25 per family, or $20 for an individual.

Program

Mary Ann and Al Nelson presented a wonderful program on �Researching and Planning before You Travel.� They shared valuable tips from their trips to New England, Czech Republic, Germany and Switzerland. Thank you Mary Ann and Al!

Adjournment

Ethnic treats were provided by volunteers after the program, and the business portion of the meeting adjourned at 8:57 pm.
