Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 8:12 pm by President Terry Micks.
Officer Reports
The minutes of the April 26, 2011 meeting were read by Secretary Joyce Krueger and approved by those in attendance.
The Treasurer�s Report was read by Treasurer Al Nelson. The beginning balance on hand as of April 26, 2011 was $1,562.45 with receipts of $325.00 and disbursements of $20.00, leaving a balance on hand as of May 24, 2011 of $1,867.45. Report was approved.
Correspondence
A thank you note from Dan Leis was read.
Committee Reports
Archives
Cemetery cleaning kits will be discussed at our September meeting.
Quarterly
The May issue is due out soon.
Programs
The June meeting will be working in Oak GroveCemetery. There will be two opportunities for this which both include transcription, photography, and stone cleaning. The dates are Tuesday, June 7th, and Tuesday, June 14th from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Discussion on future programs resulted in these topics:
1) Update on genealogy websites
2) Visit the Area Research Center (Murphy Library) next year
3) Information on the Norskadalen Library
4) Information about the Luxemburg group of La Crosse
5) Ways and means of contacting relatives

Unfinished Business
There will be more information on the Beginners Workshop at the Fall meeting.
New Business
Due to October Fest, the September meeting date will be changed. Watch for this update.
Program
Anita Doering presented the program, �Maps - The Final Frontier??� She brought several books of maps plus a large preserved 1874 plat map from the Archives, and gave lots of information on the websites where maps are available - and how to use them. Thank you Anita, for the wonderful presentation!
