Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 7:08 pm by President Terry Micks.

Officer Reports

The minutes of the Feb. 22, 2011 meeting were read by Secretary Joyce Krueger and approved by those in attendance.

The Treasurer�s Report was read by Treasurer Al Nelson. The beginning balance on hand as of Feb. 22, 2011 was $1,856.38 with receipts of $90.00 and disbursements of $400.00, leaving a balance on hand as of March 23, 2011 of $1,546.38. Report was approved.

Correspondence

Irish Fest will be Aug. 13 & 14. LAGS received a nice complimentary letter from Bill Driscoll for providing workers at the last Irish Fest. There will again be a table available for LAGS.

The February issue is being printed. Please send queries for the May issue.

Programs

April meeting possibly will be �How to Read Land Records.�

Unfinished Business

Dues are due. There was a discussion about where to have our October meeting, as the library will not be available.

New Business

Gene-A-Rama - Terry has scheduled lots of volunteers to help at the registration table and to monitor speaker rooms, and also to work at the LAGS table. Gene-A-Rama is donating $300 to La Crosse Public Library Archives. LAGS will offer a door prize of a 1 year quarterly membership, and maybe a second door prize of a cemetery kit. We will also be selling old quarterlies at $1 each at the LAGS table. After much marketing discussion, it was decided to also sell Cemetery Kits at $15.

Program

There was no formal program, but there was some work done on the Cemetery Kits.

There were no treats provided. The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 pm.
