La Crosse Area Genealogical Society
March 28, 2006
Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 pm on March 28, 2006, by President Terry Micks.
Officer Reports
Secretary Greg Filbeck read the minutes of the February 28, 2006 meeting. Anita Palmquist moved to approve the minutes as corrected (date of call to order was listed as January 24th instead of February 28th. The motion was approved.
Treasurer Allen Nelson read the Treasurer�s Report. The beginning balance on hand as of February 28, 2006 was $1,642.01 with receipts of $63.72 and disbursements of $534.60, leaving a balance on hand as of March 28, 2006 of $1, 171.13. Roxanne Munns moved to accept the treasurer�s report. The motion carried.
Correspondence
A program on German Genealogy will be held on April 4th at the Monroe County Local History Room and Museum in Sparta beginning at 7pm. Anita Palmquist is the featured speaker.
Gene-A-Rama will be held April 21-22 at the County Springs Hotel and Convention Center in Stevens Point.
Committee Reports
Archives
The Library will feature two more programs as a part of their Music on a Sunday Afternoon series: Viterbo Piano Students (April 2nd) and Saner Group (April 9th). The programs begin at 1:30pm.
The �Where�s Evelyn� presentation has been rescheduled for May 14tth, at 1:30 pm.
Quarterly
The Quarterly went out this last month. The next issue will be in May. Submissions should be sent to Jonna Peterson at [email protected].
Newsletter
The next newsletter will go out in April. Submissions for our next issue should be sent to Terry Micks at [email protected] by the end of March. Please identify LAGS in subject line.
Programs
April�s meeting will be Christine Stolz from the Archives room speaking on Ancestry and Heritage Quest.
May will be our pot luck and cemetery visit. Details to follow.
Website
Roxanne Munns reported on the additions to the website: cemetery pictures, two-year-old quarterly indexes, and additional work in the Onalaska cemetery.

Dues will remain the same for 2006: $15 for a comprehensive membership including the Quarterly and the Newsletter, and $5 for the newsletter only. Please pay now.
