Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 7:19 pm by President Terry Micks.

Officer Reports

The minutes of the May 22, 2012 meeting were read by Joyce Krueger and corrected and approved by those in attendance.

The Treasurer�s Report was read by Al Nelson. The beginning balance on hand as of May 22, 2012 was $1,649.34 with receipts of $117.30 and disbursements of $83.34, leaving a balance on hand as of June 26, 2012 of $1,683.30. Report was approved.

Committee Reports

Archives

Five cemetery cleaning kits are available for free checkout.

July 10 & 17 from 2:30 to 5:30 - cemetery cleaning at Oak Grove Cemetery. There will be signs at the entrance.

Quarterly - The May and August quarterlies are being worked on.

Programs

Website - No report.

Unfinished Business

Dues are due - $20.

The Family Search account will now be set up. LAGS will order La Crosse County Marriage Index, Oak Grove Cemetery Records and Wills 1866-1902. These will be ordered and available in the Library Archives.

Beginner Genealogy Workshop was held on Saturday, June 23. Thanks to the speakers and all who participated or helped in any way - it was a big success! Thirty-six booklets were sold and 3 new members signed up. There were almost 50 people there - about 26 fairly new to genealogy. The questionnaire yielded good ratings and some good points were made. We accomplished our goal!

New Business

LAGS members voted to provide the FindAGrave website with the local cemetery pictures that are on the LAGS website.

Terry will bring treats for the September meeting.

Program

Our program was an evaluation of the Beginner Workshop held on Saturday, June 23.

There were many good comments, and good suggestions for the next one.

Adjournment

The business portion of the meeting was adjourned at 7:38 p.m. Thank you to Susan for providing treats.
