Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:15 pm by President Terry Micks.
Officer Reports
The minutes of the Nov. 22, 2011 meeting were read by Joyce Krueger and approved by those in attendance.
The Treasurer�s Report was read. The beginning balance on hand as of Nov. 22, 2011 was $1,577.80 with receipts of $110.71 and disbursements of $151.00, leaving a balance on hand as of Feb. 28, 2012 of $1,537.51. Report was approved.
Correspondence
Sat., May 19, 2012 is the Family History Conference in Wausau.
April 27 & 28 is the WSGS Gene-A-Rama in Green Bay.
Committee Reports
Archives
The Archives is looking for one or two volunteers to make copies of obituaries using the computer. This will be once or twice a week at a set time of 1 to 2 hours.
Quarterly
Don�t forget to share any information you have for the Quarterly, with Terry at: [email protected] -- please put �LAGS� in the subject line.
Programs
March - We will have a presentation regarding the 1940 census. We will also be discussing ways to financially support the Archives.
April or May - Roundtable discussion
Website - No report.
Unfinished Business
We spent a lot of time discussing and making decisions about the Genealogy Workshop for Beginners.
February 15th the price for microfilm short-term loan went to $7.50, and long-term loan went to $18.75.
Anyone in the La Crosse area that has records to go on microfilm, please contribute them to the Archives.
New Business
Dues are due.
The History of the Social Security Index will be in the Quarterly.
Please volunteer to do some indexing of the 1940 census by going to Family Search online. You can even pick what you want to index. The sooner it gets done, the sooner we will all be able to use it.
Elections -
Terry Micks was re-elected President
Joyce Krueger was re-elected Secretary
Bessie volunteered to bring treats for the March 27 meeting.
Program
Our program this month was working on the Genealogy Workshop for Beginners. Terry will be sending out a summary sheet on this.

The business portion of the meeting was adjourned at 7:36 pm. Thank you to Dennis for providing treats.
