Civil War, a group of veterans of Belgian nationality brought back with them a new religion to Kewaunee County. Called 'Spiritualism', this sect involved themselves in performances of bringing back the dead with seances. The leader of this Sect was Desire LaCourt, who with the "minister" Frank Jacque, turned an old house into a church.
