April 1st 1893 Centralia Enterprise and Tribune newspaper (contributed by Joan Benner)
J. O. HEBERT, who has been engaged in the practice of the art of photography in Grand Rapids during the past fourteen years, has sold his business, including his fixtures and accessories, to Mr. J. JURVE (should be T. O. Juve) of Necedah, who will take possession some time this month. Mr. Hebert has also given Mr. Jurve an option for the purchase of his building and lot within one year, at a stipulated price.

Mr. Hebert will spend a couple of months here in looking after his business interests, after which he will make a visit to Canada to visit his relatives, whom he has not seen for seventeen years.

Notes: O. G. SWANETS. In 1889 he was a teacher in Mauston. In the 1910 Census he is living in Mokelumne 2-Twp, Calaveras, CA. Listed in the SSDI as: Oscar George Swanets born 17 Sep 1870 in WI and died 06 Mar 1951 in Sonoma, CA.  Mother's maiden name: Pfeifer.


Notes: Martha E. Clizbe. Listed in the 1880 census, Reedsburg, Sauk Co., born ca 1864 in Indiana. Parents: Loren and Mary. Siblings: Byron, Carrie, Emma and Gilford. There is a Martha E. Clizbe listed in the WI Death Index - death date 01 Aug 1906, Sauk Co.

Siblings: Byron, Martha, Emma and Gilford. Mother: Mary Elizabeth nee Weaver. Father: Loren G. Blizbe - married in La Porte Co., IN on 29 Nov 1857.


Notes: Burt (Bert) Fisk. Studio was upstairs on Main Street across from the present Elroy Theater.

Notes: Ed TOWNE. His studio was upstairs over the old post office and the first business on Main Street from the north.


Notes: F. C. EVERETT. First name could be Frances or Frank. Found a F. C. Everett listed as a photographer in the 1890's at Beloit, Rock Co. Found a Frank Everett in the 1900 Beloit Ward 2 census, age 49. In the 1920 Madison, Dane Co. census there is listed a Frank C. Everett, age 69.


E. G. RESSLER has sold his photograph gallery to J. L. POST of Madison, who will take possession today. Mr. Ressler will go to Oshkosh where he intends going into business.
